Great product!

I purchased this so that I would be able to connect my Playstaion 3 to my wired network which is setup on the other side of my condo. I had been using a long cord but it was a hassle. After some research I found this and after receiving it today I'm glad I did! There was no setup at all, just plugged one unit into the router and the other to the Playstaion, got online no problem. The connection speed even seems faster!

Works so well you can forget about it!

I was on wireless at 54MB/sec. The connection was great but unreliable. This wonderful invention brought the connection speed up to a consistent and reliable 85MB/sec. No dropouts, no lost connections, no hassle.

A very good alternative to wireless for one computer

(5 out of 5) by D. Barnes on Sep 28, 2009 (Ann Arbor, MI USA)
I have a basement office in my home that is far removed from the wireless router in the living area. Wireless reception in the office is poor and interference with intermittent loss of connectivity is common.

I looked at a lot of options to overcome this and this system seemed to offer what I was looking for. For once my guess was correct and I am 100% satisfied as I now get 85mbps+ with no problems.

The set up was simple - literally just plug the units in and go.

Only thing to note is that I only have one computer in my office. If you want multiple outlets this could/will become an expensive option but for my needs it is perfect.

This is an excellent product

This is an excellent alternative to wireless networking. I have many concerns with the security of wireless networks, especially since most of the encryption algorithms have been compromised.
This product uses the households existing electrical wiring as the backbone of your network. One adapter connects to your router or a switch, the other you can plug into a an electrical outlet, and viola' you now have network connectivity.
This is a relatively inexpensive alternative to creating your own wired network in your home.
