After meticulous research on the "perfect" case for my new Macbook, I finally found the Metrolite II. I wanted a bag that had a snug fit for my 13'' Macbook, and offered solid protection but without all the bulk. Most of what I found was either a single neoprene sleeve, that really just protects against scratches and a 'light' bump; or full size laptop cases with either no storage or way too many pockets.

great bag, definitely worth the money if u consider the protection it actually provides. It's a bit snug, I use this to commute in NYC and my bag gets banged on train platform pillars, people, train doors, buses, dropped off the bus steps. The cushioning is great and already paid itself. I prefer this over the Taurus and others due to the protection. The front pockets hold teh battery pack, mouse (if necessary) and ethernet cable with room for knick knacks like Ipod, cell, keys, paper. Great bag if you don;t plan on schleppiing tooo many items in this. Craftsmanship and quality top notch.

I bought it strictly to transport around town or store at home to keep it safe from the young children in our house. Works great for my purpose. If you want room for more than a few storage cards/usb keys, your ipod, and the laptop charger...this isn't the bag for you. It's small but that's the point. Makes it great to carry around since I don't like shoulder straps.

I like the METROLITE II JET BLACK LAPTOP case for a couple of reasons. It seems to offer great protection and it's very slim. There is also ample storage space.
