They both operate nicely, with it's cousin having a 40gig larger hard drive. Vista premium is a nice improvement over XP for the operating system, but it uses more energy. One flaw on both these is their short battery life. Another consideration is they both require two router designations rather than one. A lap top should be portable, eh? If I were deciding to buy, I'd consider these features, and buy a different brand, for these two reasons.
I would however not buy another netbook, they're very portable, but too limited in features. For example no CD-rom, Window's XP, slower microprocessor, screen is too small.

Let me assure you, if you're planning on purchasing a Toshiba laptop, you are not.
Please, google "toshiba laptop complaints" and get the REAL reviews.
As for my input...
this is a conversation that took place in an authorized toshiba shipping store:
me: "Man, let me tell you something... NEVER buy a Toshiba laptop."
clerk: "With the ammount of them that we ship back every month, I never would."
..just in case you were wondering how many laptops this authorized postal service receives from customer and ships out for repair every month - "..about 30" is the answer that I got

Great first laptop

I was pleased with the price, ease of use and the screen is crystal clear. I would recommend to anyone that needs a good basic laptop, after you remove all of the extra software you don't need. There were no reviews when I purchased this laptop and was a little skeptical, but I am very happy I made the purchase.
