Extremely pleased so far...
I treated myself to this little beauty because I was getting tired of my laptop's 14" screen (which is my main home PC), and have been really happy with it. Setup out of the box was very easy, assembly was a snap, calibration took about 10-15 minutes (used the free tools at lagom dot nl) and the result is gorgeous.
And that's with me running off of a lousy VGA connection to a 4 year old Centrino desktop with a humble 32MB video card, I would expect even more stunning image quality using one of today's top of the line machines with an HDMI connection!
Can't say much about the sound quality since I'm using external speakers, but anybody buying a monitor intending to use only the onboard speakers for anything more than systems sound alerts, is a flaming idiot.
And I haven't had a chance to watch TV on it since I haven't gotten an HDTV antenna yet, but that's on my to-do list. Will report back if there are any problems.
With a 480p standard DVD playing through my laptop, the results are gorgeous however. For a mere two hundred eighty from buy dot com, I'm very pleased. I thought I wouldn't like the rose-colored exterior, but have to admit it IS quite attractive, classy-looking. Again and again, I am very impressed by today's Korean electronics.

Samsung Touch of Color T240HD
I purchased this set for my daughter's dorm room. The unit was unpacked and setup last night, and we are both very pleased. We are running the cable directly into the tv without any kind of decoder. Samsung's tuner works pretty good. During setup we used "search STD" for analog and digital. This thing found all the analog, digital, and to my suprise, many HD channels. The 1080i channels are very impressive. The sound is pretty good, but we hooked up a spare set of sony computer speakers. This is a good combination.
We used one of the HDMI connectors for her laptop. Dvd's look good. She is not a big video gamer, so this wil more than suffice.

Awesome monitor: TV or PC monitor
My Samsung T240HD was just delivered today.
I put it in my office to replace an old Samsung LTN1535 15" LCD TV.
Let me assure you that this is a GREAT TV monitor that works well as a PC monitor as well. Out of the box, attached to an Explorer 4250 HDC (HiDef cable box from Brighthouse), the picture color, contrast, and clarity are exceptional. I'm using an HDMI cable.
Connected to my HP G60-235DX laptop, it was detected automatically and gave me option of mirroring the existing monitor or using as a desktop extension. I don't know what kind of video cards others were connecting to, but I saw no problems at all with using the T240HD as a PC monitor. I don't play games, so I can't vouch for response as a gaming monitor, but the clarity on you tube video is excellent! Using as a desktop extension, I am able to watch multi-media on the 24" LCD monitor while working on my PC. I'm watching You Tube on a large 24" screen while typing this review. I have the monitor positioned about 40" away from me and I can still read the text perfectly. It is as crisp as can be. I mean, this is a 1080p monitor... you get what you expect! Perfection.

Not a good choice for TV
This may be a fine monitor but as a TV it has several drawbacks:
1) The VERY narrow viewing angle. I read other reviews and thought they might be overly critical but once I set it up I realized how horrible the viewing angle is.
2) The poor sound quality. Again I read the reviews but assumed the reviewers were being too picky. The sound is akin to a cheap little clock radio.
3) The on screen menus are too small for a TV that will be viewed from 6 feet away.
All the above criticism apply to using the as a TV.
As a PC monitor it seemed fine except it lacks height and pivot adjustments
ALSO: I'm surprised that Amazon is hiding it's return policy for monitors under the heading "See more technical details". Come on Amazon this is blatantly deceptive. I'm surprised Amazon has pulled a fast one here. I'll have to rethink where I buy stuff based on the little stunt.
PLEASE REVIEW THEIR RETURN POLICY AS AMAZON WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS FOR ANY OF THE ISSUES I DESCRIBED!

Great value
I highly recommend this monitor. The pictures don't do justice to how good it looks. The image is fantastic. Unless you're a very nit picky monitor person (which I thought I was) or you work in image design. I do wish it had a composite input and portrait mode but for what I paid I'm very satisfied. Also nice to know: The base actually rotates 340 degrees or so which allows you to turn the monitor to show a video or something to someone very easily.
UltraSharp 2407WFP 24-inch Wide-Screen Black Flat Panel Monitor, LCD with Height Adjustable Stand: I was tempted to buy the Dell 2407WFP monitor and I had a chance to see and compare it to my T240HD (not side by side though). They both look fantastic. I couldn't tell the difference in picture quality (but again, no side-by-side). The famous input lag issue on the revision A02 of the Dell is really small. You really have to look for it or be a very, very picky gamer (which, again, I am) to care or notice. The Dell, however, has Portrait Mode, PIP and PBP which are all very nice features. It does NOT have any HDMIs port, which is a big turn off because HDMI is probably going to be the input of the future.
One thing though: Dynamic Contrast sucks on the T240HD. A lot. (unless maybe your playing something that does not change from light to black often but then what's the point?)
