With in 3 months of use, green vertical line appeared on the monitor. I called samsung and they asked me to send it to repair (it was third party repair center). Even after one month I have not received my monitor back. I called samsung several times but they do not have any idea what is going on at service center.

I thought Samsung makes great products. If the products are not great, you should at least have great service.

I better stick with Sony which makes good products even though it has crappy service.

I got a refurbished tv after more than a month. It is shame for Samsung to call it refurbished tv. It looks like they got used tv from craigslist. No original box, no power cable etc (I sent my tv in original box for the service). Even more embarrassing is this refurbished item does not work. Some strange sounds come from the speakers, channels change automatically, source changes from tv to pc automatically. What a pain.

stay away from this crapy company.

Surprisingly Sony has A+ rating for resolving customer complaints.

This monitor is exceptional! The picture is amazing. Other people reviewed that there was no horizontal adjustment which is not at all true. Before you put the base on, you pull off the attachment which has a metal plate that can be adjusted to change the tilt. Only gripe I have is that I wanted to use analog audio while using DVI which isn't possible. The UI is extension with many options for every input. The picture loss when moving left, right, up, or down really isn't that bad. It's just like any other high end LCD tv. I've watched a couple movies streaming NetFlix sitting about 6" away and have been more than satified with the definition and picture quality. I highly recommend this for either a TV, gaming station, or editing because the size of this monitor allows for a large area of editing space. Samsung is this shiiiiatt.

I treated myself to this little beauty because I was getting tired of my laptop's 14" screen (which is my main home PC), and have been really happy with it. Setup out of the box was very easy, assembly was a snap, calibration took about 10-15 minutes (used the free tools at lagom dot nl) and the result is gorgeous.

And that's with me running off of a lousy VGA connection to a 4 year old Centrino desktop with a humble 32MB video card, I would expect even more stunning image quality using one of today's top of the line machines with an HDMI connection!

Can't say much about the sound quality since I'm using external speakers, but anybody buying a monitor intending to use only the onboard speakers for anything more than systems sound alerts, is a flaming idiot.

And I haven't had a chance to watch TV on it since I haven't gotten an HDTV antenna yet, but that's on my to-do list. Will report back if there are any problems.

With a 480p standard DVD playing through my laptop, the results are gorgeous however. For a mere two hundred eighty from buy dot com, I'm very pleased. I thought I wouldn't like the rose-colored exterior, but have to admit it IS quite attractive, classy-looking. Again and again, I am very impressed by today's Korean electronics.

I purchased this set for my daughter's dorm room. The unit was unpacked and setup last night, and we are both very pleased. We are running the cable directly into the tv without any kind of decoder. Samsung's tuner works pretty good. During setup we used "search STD" for analog and digital. This thing found all the analog, digital, and to my suprise, many HD channels. The 1080i channels are very impressive. The sound is pretty good, but we hooked up a spare set of sony computer speakers. This is a good combination.
We used one of the HDMI connectors for her laptop. Dvd's look good. She is not a big video gamer, so this wil more than suffice.

My Samsung T240HD was just delivered today.
I put it in my office to replace an old Samsung LTN1535 15" LCD TV.
Let me assure you that this is a GREAT TV monitor that works well as a PC monitor as well. Out of the box, attached to an Explorer 4250 HDC (HiDef cable box from Brighthouse), the picture color, contrast, and clarity are exceptional. I'm using an HDMI cable.

Connected to my HP G60-235DX laptop, it was detected automatically and gave me option of mirroring the existing monitor or using as a desktop extension. I don't know what kind of video cards others were connecting to, but I saw no problems at all with using the T240HD as a PC monitor. I don't play games, so I can't vouch for response as a gaming monitor, but the clarity on you tube video is excellent! Using as a desktop extension, I am able to watch multi-media on the 24" LCD monitor while working on my PC. I'm watching You Tube on a large 24" screen while typing this review. I have the monitor positioned about 40" away from me and I can still read the text perfectly. It is as crisp as can be. I mean, this is a 1080p monitor... you get what you expect! Perfection.

You can't go wrong with this product.
