This lamp is wonderful and exactly what I needed. I use this when I am quilting in the evening. It's so much brighter than any other light I have used in the past and the fact I am able to dim the light if I need to is great!

I bought this lamp for my husband, who likes to read in bed and had problems finding lamps that were the right brightness, the right height, pointing the right way, and easy for him to reach to turn on and off. This lamp is perfect so far. The dimmable feature lets him set it as bright as he needs to read while still being able to tone it down if necessary. He was able to adjust the height and position the light to point to exactly where he needed it, and the on/off switch is on the side where it's easy to reach while laying in bed. I got the white one and it matches our white headboard very nicely.

Personally I don't think the flexible neck on this lamp is very stylish-looking and I'm glad it's not in the living room, but it's perfect for the bedroom. The best thing is my husband is now happy - and when he's happy, I'm happy!

We've only had it for a week or so, but if I have any problems with the lamp at a later date I'll update this review. But so far I would recommend this lamp if you're looking for a reasonably priced, adjustable, bright, dimmable reading light.

I bought this lamp for my wife. She loves to knit and
this is the perfect solution next to her chair. She also
loves this lamp and the Spectrum Light. She should have
had this lamp when we lived in Seattle. The one feature
I unique about this floor lamp was that it is dimmable.
The Verilux is not and simply has a high-off-low switch.
However, the Verilux comes with an attached tray for your
TV remote control and holds a few other things like your
cocktail. So, it is either dimmable or has a small table
attached, otherwise, they are almost identical. Oh, and
by the way, the Verilux comes in a very nice burl finish.
I bought the Verilux for my son and he loves it. The Full
Spectrum Solutions lamp only came in black and white, but
so does the Veriflux, plus a graphite gray which looks
quite nice.

I bought this for my wife. She is an avid reader. She loves it, especially the dimming feature.
