Great Sound

Great sound for the buck. Easy to wire, and install. Matched all the other black components nicely.

WOW

(5 out of 5) by Eric A. Hartwell on Mar 10, 2009
I have to say these are the best sounding $120 speakers I've ever heard. I have had many sets of speakers from KLH to Polk and these are very nice. If your looking to get a lot of sound for a little money, buy it!

Size doesn't always matter...

This system came free with the purchase of the Yamaha RX-V663 7.1 Channel Home Theatre Receiver. I must say that I was a bit leary but decided what the heck. The other reviews of this item were already glowing and I must admit that this unit packs a lot in such a small package. I've had small systems before but this out strips them big time. I still have my Definitive Technology's hooked up to my old receiver and CD player but this system still suprises even with music. I may just use the DT's and have the complete 7.1 speaker hook-up.

I Like It!

(4 out of 5) by William R. Griffith on Aug 17, 2009
For the price it sounds great! I bought this system for a cabin we built and did not expect much. We have a high end system at home,it cost about 10 times as much and doesn't sound 10 times better than these speakers.

Sound great - under certain conditions

(5 out of 5) by jm7 on Jul 23, 2009 (CARLISLE, PENNSYLVANIA)
I got these speakers a few weeks ago. Hooked them up to a Yamaha RX-V495 receiver, thinking Yamaha + Yamaha = great sound. They were like nails on a chalkboard - harsh, irritating, etc... Then I plugged them in to a Marantz SR4400 and they came alive - the bass cleared up beautifully, mids filled in and rounded out, highs crystal clear without the harshness. I am thrilled with how they sound now, especially for the $$$. So - I guess the moral of this story is be careful what you use to drive them or you may be disappointed.
