Great product!

This green laser pointer works great! Very bright and shines very far. I highly recommend it.

Great photography tool

I use this pointer to autofocus my SLR camera in the dark. All you have to do is point the beam to your subject, autofocus your camera, switch to manual focus so it no longer moves, take a shot and you have a perfectly focused picture.

Didn't Work At All

Didn't work out of the box. Trying again with a different offering on Amazon.

DIM LASER POINTER

(1 out of 5) by Terry Schoenberger on Sep 4, 2009
I must have received a bad one. This green laser pointer had a dim green dot. I tried new batteris but it did not change it. I have 2 other green laser pointers and this one is about 1/10 of the power of them, even though they have the same specs. My red laser pointer is brighter than this one. I was going to exchange it so I pulled up the order and Selected "problem with this order". Amazon only allows refunds on this item, no exchanges. I printed out the free return shipping label and will send it back in the same shipping carton that it came in. You do not have to select anything special when ordering to receive the free flashlight combo, it is included. I think this would be a great deal if you get on that works good.

DJAA (dead just after arrival)

(1 out of 5) by theDrow on Sep 2, 2009 (Tucson, AZ)
As soon as I received the item, I took it out to play with it. I mean test it. I put in the batteries and fired it up. It worked, though the beam was more intense than I had expected. I could handle that though. I had my cat help me test it as well, and as I was doing that, I noticed that some times when I pressed the button, the beam would be very weak, and slowly grow more intense (though, seemingly, not up to the initial intensity). I also noticed that it was making a sound as if something metal was loose. I checked the back tube (where the batteries go) but everything in there seemed good. Soon though, it did not function at all. (this is within minutes of my receiving it, and all I had done was insert the batteries and wave it around a bit -- nothing that wouldn't be routine use). Thinking that I might simply have received bad batteries with it, I replaced them, but to no avail -- the laser pointer did not function at all.

I may return it, but probably not, since the return shipping will be almost half what I paid for it anyway, and I am not guaranteed to get a full refund. I'll just order a different one and hope for the best.
