Extremely bright and cheap.
Don't waste $30 on a laser pointer, just get this one.

A Beam
My grandson was thrilled with this laser light & I think my son will be using it for training courses. It is really great.
Neat laser, but DO NOT expect a visible laser beam in daylight.
This is a very well-built green laser, with a few imperfections.
Pro's:
-Sturdy, well built, and heavy (though some might not like the weight)
-Bright laser DOT, not beam, fully visible on all TV's and projectors that I've tried (Dot fully visible even in daylight)
-Nice packaging (especially if you are purchasing this as a gift)
-Clear, easy instruction manual (though laser operation is pretty self-explanatory)
Cons:
-Unstable button for laser. It wiggles a lot and sounds like it is going to fall off, but when you actually feel it, it feels sturdy enough.
-The batteries it comes with are bad, but this is true with almost anything that comes with batteries.
WARNING to all people looking for something resembling a light saber:
This is a class IIIa laser, which means it puts out less than 5mW. It clearly says this in the description, so no complaints there. The thing is, with <5mW green lasers, you can only see the BEAM in a pitch-black and dusty room. I am not complaining about the product itself, I am merely warning people who expect a fully visible, lightsaber-ish beam during the day, as this will NOT happen unless you purchase a true class IIIb laser, which are very expensive. Didn't last very long
This pointer was great for about two months. Then it quit. I tried new batteries. That wasn't the problem. It just doesn't work any more.

Some good, some bad
I purchased two of these as gifts with the expectation to use them for astronomy. The price was too good to ignore even with the questionable reviews. The first laser that I turned on was immediately very bright. I cannot estimate the power output because I do not have enough experience with green lasers; but I believe it is close to 5mW. The second laser was substantially dimmer than the first. After the 30sec warm-up it got brighter, though still clearly lower output than the first one. Outside the difference was clear too. I had trouble using the dimmer laser for pointing out stars. The 30sec warm-up each time it's turned on is extremely annoying -- note the instructions specify a 30sec warm-up is required. Also, even when it got brighter, sometimes I had trouble seeing it and pointing to the stars. Though, I should clarify that I was testing this in an area with a lot of light pollution; I believe it should be okay in darker skies more favorable for observing. I'm going to keep both because for <$15, it's an ok purchase and will function for my needs. If you want a good green laser, buy a different brand.
Also, I did receive the "Double Bonus L.E.D. Flashlight" which is your basic mini light, like the type you find on key chains.
