This thing lasted all of about ten minutes of intermittent use. I wish I hadn't bought it.

I got this laser for Christmas and I wasn't disappointed despite the great price. The pointer is very sturdy feeling and powerful. As the review states the pointer does require 2-3 minutes of warm-up time to reach maximum intensity, depending on the temperature. Also the time it takes to reach maximum brightness varies depending on battery life, my best results were with name brand batteries, not the supplied ones. If you want to see the beam at night this works best in very dark places without street lights, also you will notice that the beam becomes very visible after your eyes dark adjust which can take several minutes. I was able to light up destination signs on the highway as far as I could see. If I had to give negatives it would be that the button feels a little wobbly(really not bad), and needs to be depressed firmly. This laser can be very fun but should also be used with caution to avoid eye injury. Buy two and give one to a friend or brother this is a great product at a great price.

I first thought it was my NiMh rechargeable batteries causing the fading but in fact it's just a poor laser pointer; the batteries are providing plenty of power. I bought this because of the low price. Not surprising, this is made in China and the warranty period is short. This laser is inferior to $30-50 lasers in every way. Buy three of these or one good one.

This item is NOT SOLD as it is described! It is only the Green Laser and it does NOT come with the flashlight or optical cloth! This has also been posted by another buyer today, where they do not ship the extras and cross these items off the order. The flashlight and cloth probably don't have much if any value, and I didn't order this because of that. However, I expected it to be shipped as it is advertised here, and it wasn't. The other person who had this same problem today was told there is a note that says it's not included with this, even though the title and descriptions do. I didn't find the "note" on the page, but I guess it could be hidden here somewhere.

Product did not work straight from box, sent email to seller and received canned response which showed clearly that product has high fallout.
