Listen to the reviews. No software

(1 out of 5) by winston3338 on Aug 23, 2009
Just a cheap ripoff to force you to buy the program after 30 days. The drivers are not part of Vista's on line driver collection and you download the drivers on the internet and theirs no warning that it's a 30 day trial. Leave it to bargaincell to be selling garbage. Everything I've ever bought from them had some kind of hidden catch. The product description says "Package includes Bluetooth dongle & software installation CD" and it's either a straight up bargaincell lie or they don't know and don't care what they sell.

Even if you return it you pay shipping both ways anyway costing more then this item is worth. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks with a reputable company and get what the produce description says. I was once referred to bargaincell from ebay also with the same results. I ended up buying garbage. This is my personal experience and review and is not the opinion of Amazon in any way.

Not real bluetooth

This product requires proprietary software that it may work, It will not work in linux based systems! Fifty cents wasted.

Hey for $3.00, It works like a charm

(5 out of 5) by K. Sires on Oct 13, 2008 (New Orleans, LA - USA)
I got mine shipped to me in like 2 days. Plugged it in, Installed the software from mini-cd. Had no problem pairing it with both my MotoRokr Z6 cellphone, and Motorokr S9 bluetooth stereo headphones.
So yes, You can get stereo bluetooth for only $3.00 that works.
Non OEM product, Little web support. Uses Blue Soleil software, and easily installs on window vista. No issues to report. I'm a happy camper...

bluetooth dongle review

(2 out of 5) by Sunil Gopinath on Jan 21, 2009 (Minneapolis)
There are a lot of these bluetooth available and I guess the smaller they are the higher the price. My intent was to use this in my laptop and use my bluetooth phone as a wireless modem so I can have wireless internet on my laptop whereever I carry my phone (which means everywhere there is a mobile signal!!)
This was very cheap, shipping was 4 times the price of the product!! but it comes with a outdated software and the latest version costs money to upgrade. I am giving it 2 stars because of the fact that this requires additional software and my laptop fails to recognize there is a bluetooth internet available even after I have switched my phone to bluetooth mode. I have tried using other bluetooth dongles from friends which are a bit expensive but does not need any additional software and my laptop recognizes the internet from the phone.
I do not recommend this to anyone.

Do NOT buy this...cheap but huge waste of time, does not work

(1 out of 5) by S. Ebert on Aug 10, 2009
As others warned, this dongle likely will not end up working. You do NOT get a CD, but when directed to a web site for the SW, you are given an outdated, demo version of REQUIRE BlueSoleil SW (2.9 vs 6.0). After many failed efforts, and getting a new device, I finally kind of got this to work, only to encounter the dreaded "demo period up, please purchase upgrade", and this is NOT cheap...

Stay far, far away...I spent about 4-6 hours trying to deal with this, and if you add this to the almost free cost, you will not want to bother!
