Christmas item for my 11 yr old daughter. Product was great excellent pictures and great quality. I recommend for anyone not just a child. Easy to use for anyone.
not too bad
this was a nice digital camera but we had problem charging it. It would not charge from the wall charger, only the computer. The company has been really good about exchanging it, it is just taking a long time.
Decent, rugged first camera
Purchased for my 11 year old Nature Boy for documenting his excursions and fort building efforts. Worry free and functional for a novice photographer. The carabiener clip feature is more useful than I expected at keeping up with the camera, but if you do drop it, no worries - it bounces pretty well, due to the rubber exterior. LCD viewfinder is slightly smaller than many cameras but young eyes don't have problems with that. It fits nicely in all size hands due to the rounded shape.
This camera might frustrate someone who wants to use a lot of effects and refinements for great art. I'm very glad I purchased extra memory, so he has room to create videos.

Great for Child
The little blue Bean was such a hit at Christmas with my soon to be 4 year old grandson. He left all the other presents and began to take pictures just like his dad. With some help he will be getting better and better photos and so proud of himself.

Argus needs to concentrate on photo quality, not photo size
Since I'm training for a marathon and blogging as I go, I was in the market for a light camera to carry with me, so I can take pictures to enhance my online content. I have a full review with photo examples at:

Since the camera was so light, I hardly noticed it in my pocket while running. the surface is rubbery and built very solid. The ergonomic handling made it super easy to take pictures on the fly. The display kept turning off after 5 seconds of inactivity, so I had to act like I was taking a picture to turn on the display again. It takes about 2-3 seconds for the photo to process and become available for the next shot again. The belt clip was convenient, but if you bump it too hard, the camera could fall off since there's no safety to the latch.
I need a camera that can do the basics even if I'm not running (or walking). The zoom is a joke, and I can't tell if it's real zoom or digital zoom. Taking good shots at night is impossible. It would have been better for Argus to concentrate on the quality of the pics instead of putting a big "5 MEGAPIXEL" stamp on the packaging to sell more product and make people believe the quality of the photos are good.
I'm returning this and finding a real camera.
