Great picture, horrible sound

(3 out of 5) by Christopher Dipillo on Jan 11, 2009 (New York, NY USA)
Bought this as an xmas gift for my parents. The picture is great, but the audio quality is horrible! The sound on the 10 year old 14 inch tube tv they had before it was MUCH better, and that's not saying much. Definitely a disappointment in that area. I expected better of samsung.

Good but no cigar

(3 out of 5) by Lawrence L. Tiller on Nov 20, 2008
Good picture and in all fairness tv does not have an hd source.
The problem is the brightness, color and tint must be adjusted each time the unit is turned off and back on. All other settings remain as set. This gets alittle old after a while and if all are like mine then I cannot recommend it.

Better than expected

(5 out of 5) by J. Suter on May 16, 2009 (Cleveland, Ohio)
Arrived 2 days after ordering. Easy to assemble; easy to set up and scan for digital channels. Good tuner pulls in a lot of channels over the air from an outside antenna. Guess it is a sign of the times but wish it had rear inputs for an analog VCR and DVD player. (It does have the standard R-G-B video and L-R sound inputs.) Having picture size and closed caption buttons on the remote is great. Source button--TV, computer, DVD--also on remote makes for easy switching between them. Picture needed no adjustment from factory settings which is also great. Would definitely recommend it and plan on purchasing another in the future.

Darkness below

(2 out of 5) by Mister G. on Apr 15, 2009 (Los Angeles CA)
Installation is easy enough and the picture looks fine when your eye level is above or even with the monitor...but the picture appears significantly darker when you're looking up at it even slightly. I intended to use this in a bedroom to replace an old TV on a bureau just a foot or two above bed-level, but it's just too dark, even when jerry-rigged to tilt downwards. It's a shame the viewing angle is so limited.

If you are looking for a smaller TV for a Bedroom or Kitchen or even a Computer this is one of the best out there. Great price too.
