I bought this item only after reading every review there is on the web. I hate to sound like a broken record but this little thing rocks. The only reason this doesn't get a 10 is because of the lack of a remote control, but come on folks, get off your couch. The system will get you alot of "wow" and "is that sound coming from that". It won't replace your home stereo but you will find yourself using it in place of your home stereo quite often. The video output is amazing for you video iPod owners. Family films to iTunes bought Feature Films, it looks great, oh yeah, you can bring your movies where ever and always have good sound to play them. Wait! There is more packed into this little package. It will also charge the unit and hot sync your iPod to iTunes just slide it in and plug it into your USB.
I have friends that have the bose sound dock and I must say that this sounds damn close. If their mouths aren't open when they hear it in comparison, they're open when I throw the whole unit into a backpack, and they certainly don't complain when they are hanging by the pool listening to great sounding music while they drink a beer.
I also LOVE the ejectable cradle for your iPod. It reminds me of putting a tape (remember those) into a boom box (remember), it's cool trust me.
The other thing people complained about was the volume buttons, okay, they arent the easiest buttons to use but, like they say in the movie buisness "If they're paying attention to that then they just don't get it."
So
Cons: no remote (fatty), and the volume always starts from "power up" louder then you want
Pros: everything else

Small size amazing big sound from an outdoors ipod docking speakers
This inmotion has quite a big sound even in outdoor settings . It's small and portable and it is surprising it can produce so much sound. You can also try using small rechargeable car batteries and hooking up with adaptors if you plan to use it alot(you can go to Radio shack for the adaptors. You can also use rechargeable size c batteries(4).
If you ONLY plan to use your stereo ipod speakers indoors look at less expensive computer speakers. But if you want to take your ipod outdoors this inmotion is fabulous. It's really portable AND rugged. It resists minor shock and rain! It also comes with a stylish Backpack! It also has a video output for ipod video or photo to hook up to a monitor. No remote control though. It works with ipod mini and nano too. This inmotion iM9 won best of show 2006 at ilounge.com. The sound spreads all around so everyone can hear it. It won't rattle the earth but for such a portable device it can get people grooving.

Wonderful sound at a very good price.
I had some troubles with getting the product. But the unit it self is wonderful. The sound is very good. I have used it many times and have found it wonderful.
best of the best
I bought this item from and have not been disappointed at all. I take it with me when I travel and set it up in less than 2 minutes. The sound quality that comes from it is nothing less than very good. Dollar for dollar you cannot get better value. The unit is good on battery usage so that I don't have to worry about heavy drain when I turn it up loud. The recharge function for ipods is a very convenient feature. Overall a great value!
