Not durable material

Plastic prongs on sides of this screen protector are poorly designed or made of low grade material. They chipped almost right away and now barely grip the LCD screen and it is popping off all the time. They should use less rigid or thicker plastic type.

Does what it does - protects the glass. Haven't noticed any significant distortions while it's on.
Sony Alpha PCK-LH3AM LCD Protective Cover

The Sony Alpha PCK-LH3AM LCD Protective Cover for the Sony Alpha 300 and Alpha 350 dSLR cameras is an important adjunct. In my humble opinion, such protective covers for LCD's should be built-in as original equipment for all Sony Alpha dSLR's. These covers are far too important and necessary to be sold separately as an accessory.
I have equivalent Sony protective LCD screen covers installed in all of my Sony Alpha dSLR cameras. I never use a Sony Alpha dSLR camera without a Sony LCD protective cover installed.
I strongly recommend that all owners of Sony Alpha dSLR cameras do the same.
My only reservation about the Sony Alpha PCK-LH3AM is that it tends to fall off easily. This is because the extensible LCD screen, which is a feature of all Sony Alpha 300 series dSLR cameras, requires certain design compromises for the PCK-LH3AM, which weaken its ability to remain attached to the camera reliably. The equivalent accessories for all other Sony Alpha dSLR series cameras do not exhibit this weakness because those cameras do not have extensible LCD screens.
My solution is simply to glue the PCK-LH3AM Protective Cover to my Alpha 300 series dSLR camera with rubber cement. Rubber cement is easily applied. It allows the PCK-LH3AM Protective Cover to be removed easily, if necessary, without damage to the LCD screen or to the rest of the camera. I put small dabs of rubber cement onto the PCK-LH3AM in such places that the rubber cement will only make contact with the frame surrounding the LCD screen, and not with the LCD screen, itself. A small screw driver or a tooth pick works well as an applicator. After application of the rubber cement, place the camera, resting on the PCK-LH3AM Protective Cover, on a clean surface which will not mar the Protective Cover, for a few hours or over night.
This solution is not perfect, but it tends to be workable. Additionally, I always have one or two spare PCK-LH3AM Protective Covers on hand, just in case. Considering that they are not expensive, this is not an undue financial burden.

The cover was great, but randomly broke. The tab that held it on the side broke off in the bag. This is to be expected with small plastic pieces. A little pricey.
Protective Cover for Sony Alpha 350

I read previous reviews of this item and found that one described my situation exactly. Specifically, the other reviewer had great difficulty in keeping the cover attached. I had exactly the same problem so in short have discarded the cover and do not use it any more. Possibly the snap hinges that attach the cover to the camera could be a little stronger and may result in a successful cover.
