Is not for ALPHA 700 and the picture shows that
When i got the protector, i thought it's a great protection tool. I have an ALPHA 700 and I bought this because the picture shows that is for this model, my surprise came when I realizaed that the cover sheet is designed for ALPHA 300 - 350 and that was written in a small words at the middle of the page. So I don't understand why the product is not what you are offering. I'm a publicist and I know the meaning and the importance to sell exactly what i'm showing. Too bad cause I throw $15 and I had to buy again the right one.

vague descriptor in value package
In addition to the very misleading picture, the Amazon value packages offering the Sony Alpha PCK-LH4AM LCD Protective Cover DO NOT display this item as ONLY suitable for the Alpha series 300 and up. I recently purchased an Amazon value pack, which featured the Sony ACC-AMFM11 (case/battery accessory kit) with the above protective cover item at a reduced price for my Alpha 200.
Way down in the description for the Alpha PCK-LH4AM item is the stipulation regarding its application. With a close look at the (erroneous) picture and no exact description on the offer as to the PCK-LH4AM's application usage, I believed it would easily clip on the Alpha 200's LCD screen with the top and bottom clips. I now have a useless piece of $17.00 3.5x6.7" polycarbonate.
I therefore cannot attest to the effectiveness of the PCK-LH4AM. However, I rate the marketing practices a zero. The average rating of this product as of this date is four stars. Since misleading marketing is abhorrent and in fairness to those who by luck have obtained a product, which apparently works for them, I am averaging my rating and posting a two star. I hope this review save others from this deceptively marketed product.

Sony Alpha PCK-LH3AM LCD Protective Cover
The Sony Alpha PCK-LH3AM LCD Protective Cover for the Sony Alpha 300 and Alpha 350 dSLR cameras is an important adjunct. In my humble opinion, such protective covers for LCD's should be built-in as original equipment for all Sony Alpha dSLR's. These covers are far too important and necessary to be sold separately as an accessory.
I have equivalent Sony protective LCD screen covers installed in all of my Sony Alpha dSLR cameras. I never use a Sony Alpha dSLR camera without a Sony LCD protective cover installed.
I strongly recommend that all owners of Sony Alpha dSLR cameras do the same.
My only reservation about the Sony Alpha PCK-LH3AM is that it tends to fall off easily. This is because the extensible LCD screen, which is a feature of all Sony Alpha 300 series dSLR cameras, requires certain design compromises for the PCK-LH3AM, which weaken its ability to remain attached to the camera reliably. The equivalent accessories for all other Sony Alpha dSLR series cameras do not exhibit this weakness because those cameras do not have extensible LCD screens.
My solution is simply to glue the PCK-LH3AM Protective Cover to my Alpha 300 series dSLR camera with rubber cement. Rubber cement is easily applied. It allows the PCK-LH3AM Protective Cover to be removed easily, if necessary, without damage to the LCD screen or to the rest of the camera. I put small dabs of rubber cement onto the PCK-LH3AM in such places that the rubber cement will only make contact with the frame surrounding the LCD screen, and not with the LCD screen, itself. A small screw driver or a tooth pick works well as an applicator. After application of the rubber cement, place the camera, resting on the PCK-LH3AM Protective Cover, on a clean surface which will not mar the Protective Cover, for a few hours or over night.
This solution is not perfect, but it tends to be workable. Additionally, I always have one or two spare PCK-LH3AM Protective Covers on hand, just in case. Considering that they are not expensive, this is not an undue financial burden.

Protective Cover for Sony Alpha 350
I read previous reviews of this item and found that one described my situation exactly. Specifically, the other reviewer had great difficulty in keeping the cover attached. I had exactly the same problem so in short have discarded the cover and do not use it any more. Possibly the snap hinges that attach the cover to the camera could be a little stronger and may result in a successful cover.
Perfect fit
Protecter fits perfectly and very securely! I had noticed some small scratches on my LCD screen just from handling my A350. This cover should prevent this in the future.
