Be Patient! - Wonderful Product.

I primarily use my laptop which has only three USB ports. The Bend-a-Hub allows me to use my mouse, keyboard, and two flash drives while charging my phone, iPod, and camera.

It is so much easier to have all of your peripherals and chargeable items hooked up to a central location. I am pretty clumsy. I like how it is easy for me to distinguish which device is hooked up so that I do not accidentally disconnect. Also, this gadget makes wire management on a laptop much simpler.

Other thoughts:

This product is NOT exactly plug-n-play. Depending on your system; you might be spending time trying to connect it. It doesn't come with a CD. The instructions are weak at explaining how to first-time connect (especially for non-tech users).

For me, getting this gadget to work wasn't as easy as updating drivers.

I had to re-update the same drivers more than once and reboot a few times. Then after 5 minutes the Bend-a-hub just started to work.

So, give the Bend-a-hub several minutes to start working after updating both your system and Bend-a-Hub drivers. This should be in the paper instructions or as a message box on a software interface.

Not all users are going to wait several minutes for a device to work without message boxes notifying the progress of the installation.

Worked great at first, but 2 usb ports malfunction now

I love the flexibility of this along with its small footprint, but after 4 months, 2 of the USB ports get errors and devices won't install. They'll still work as power sources, but I need something I can rely on Not sturdy enough for the long haul.

The title says it all..... this expensive little beast simply refuses to read after only 4 months with minimal use.

Hate it

In a very short amount of time, this hub blew the ports on both my printer and external hard drive. This was a very expensive lesson.

Does what I wanted!

This hub not only increases the number of USB ports on my system, but it makes it REAL easy to insert (and remove) one plug (or one flash drive) next to another. It's the only type of hub one should buy. I wish they made a "7 port" version. As far as I know, they do not.
