Great hub for the price.

I bought this to use with a laptop because I needed more ports. Excellent for the flash drives and other peripherals that I needed to use it with.

Good Expansion

Never can have enough USB. I use as rear expansion on my Dell 530. Good price vs performance...

Dead in 4 months....

The title says it all..... this expensive little beast simply refuses to read after only 4 months with minimal use.

Does what I wanted!

This hub not only increases the number of USB ports on my system, but it makes it REAL easy to insert (and remove) one plug (or one flash drive) next to another. It's the only type of hub one should buy. I wish they made a "7 port" version. As far as I know, they do not.

Compact 4 port flexible hub

(5 out of 5) by David G. Stidham on Sep 29, 2009 (Lutz, FL USA)
I have thrown all sorts of things at this little guy. I've connected my old IPAQ USB sync cradle that has been modified to recharge through the USB connection. My digital camera, my cell phone, external hard drive (it does not draw power from the USB), printer, wireless mouse. I think I may have even connected an external DVD burner that is powered through USB. Everything works.

This is a great little piece of portable tech to throw into your laptop (or netbook) bag and take with you. You can never have too many USB ports these days, and this gem even saves you from having to carry one of those mini-USB cables that your cell phone or other small USB capable device may need.

Never have to worry abot a blocked port. It doesn't have an option for external power, which isn't really needed, and defeats the point of the portability of the device. I don't recommend using it to expand an existing USB hub. Plug directly into your laptop, netbook, or desktop.
