Got a dud first time which added $8.70 to the price

(3 out of 5) by James Veitch on Aug 16, 2009 (Berkeley, CA)
I have a Dell D830 (purchased 1.75 years ago) & a Dell D820 laptop (purchased about 3.5 years ago). The batteries are interchangeable in these 2 and the old D820 battery has begun failing to hold charge so I bought the AGPTEK Super-Capacity Li-Ion battery. The battery arrived DOA, no status lights and neither Dell recognized it. I sent it back for $8.70 in postage and the replacement does work and so far is reporting a good charge: 3.5-4 hours in the Dell D830, which is about the same as the 1.5 year old battery reports. The replacement is only a month from manufacture if I read the code AGPTek pasted on it (it has 20090720 embedded in it), and both the dud and the replacement fit well in both my Dells. However with the cost of shipping the dead battery back this battery was not such a bargain.

IT FITS LIKE A GLOVE!!!

(5 out of 5) by S. Ferguson on Jun 4, 2009 (Knoxville, TN USA)
I own a Dell Latitude D820 laptop (purchased 2006) and the "full coverage" warranty protection lasted through May 2009. Three days after the warranty expired, the factory battery failed - only the AC cord would run my laptop. Now that the unit was out of warranty, I felt it safe to buy an aftermarket battery (since replacing the Dell battery with an aftermarket would void warranty coverage).

I decided on the AGPTEK Super-Capacity Li-Ion battery for a direct replacement, ordered, and hoped for the best. You cannot tell the difference between the two batteries - it is a direct fit into the D820. The battery is holding about 3 1/2 hours of charge and the Wh rating is very comparable to the Dell battery. I highly recommend this as a direct replacement for the D820 (after the warranty has expired on your laptop).

Long battery life, doesn't fit perfectly but well enough

(5 out of 5) by J. Vanderlaan on Apr 20, 2009
I've been using this for about a month in my Dell Latitude D531. It doesn't fit perfectly, has a tendency to not latch in tightly. It latches in securely, just not tight against the bottom of the laptop. If you hold the computer up, the latched end of the battery pack hangs about a sixteenth of an inch lower than it should. It's not an issue for me, it never loses contact and doesn't affect the useability of the pack or the computer. It lasts a long time, I get about 4-5 hours with this pack, depending on what I'm doing. It seems to be made with high quality cells. We'll see how well it lasts after a year or so of use, but for now I'm very pleased.

This battery fits, and performs very well

I have had this piece for more than a week now, and I have not had any problems with it. So far, the power-rating is good, and the battery fits in tightly in its location on my Dell D820 laptop. There is just no need to waste money buying similar battery from Dell

Junk

Worked for 6 weeks and then died. The product description says one year warranty but Amazon does not accept returns after 30 days, and there is no manufacturer information on the battery so it look like a total rip for me.
