CD player

I wanted a small portable device for my mom that had an cd/mp3 player so she could listen to music uninterrupted. As an added bonus this has a USB port that will play your flash drives as well. Don't expect a lot of punch from the speakers after all what you pay for is exactly what you get, this is a great boom box for small rooms or just having some nice background music when company is over. I wish more company's would get on the cd/mp3 bandwagon. They all say, will play cd/cdr but if it doesn't say mp3, it won't play your cd/mp3's. Thank you Coby for stepping up and delivering.

Perfect For Me
(5 out of 5) by Herb Roleknotty on Nov 13, 2009 (WA)I was looking for a CD player that would play MP3 CDs as well as MP3s from USB thumbdrives. I searched in store at Target, Best Buy, and Radio Shack; as well as a dozen online retailers. This was the best unit I found. So I bought it.
Pros: It has performed very well for me. I have traveled with it three times, and found it to be very portable. I have played MP3 discs and MP3s from a thumbdrive, both work perfectly. It even picks up the radio pretty well most of the time. To listen to a disc or thumbdrive, you just insert the disc or plug in the drive, then turn it on... it starts playing right away. The appearance is even nice. The flip-up handle makes it easy to carry. The antenna almost completely disappears inside the unit.
Cons: The tuner is analog, I would prefer digital. While traveling, the speaker grills dented to easily. The user interface is NOTHING like an ipod or similar device - no large display or scroll-through song lists.
I'm very happy with this player. Would by it again in a heartbeat.

Can't get it to play from USB drive
