I got this 2GB model and it has worked perfectly. The screen is clear and easy to read, the features work well. Loading MP3's went well. The radio reception is weak but adequate. I have used the FM radio feature more than I expected. Sound quality is good, clear but not rich -- the bass is bit lacking. The included headset was too large and uncomfortable to wear for more than 10 minutes.
The 2GB memory is adequate but would not hold much video - on the other hand watching video on this was amusing for only the first 10 seconds before i was underwhelmed by the inadequacy of a 2 inch display.
Different computers have had trouble recognizing the device and i could find no drivers to download on the Internet. This may not be the best device for a non-tecnical user.
All that said, this has proven to be a good replacement for my iPod nano that cost $200 a few years ago (the battery died). It looks sharp, the battery works for a few hours at a time and it charges quickly. Because of the low price I have fewer worries than I did with the iPid - I can use it can use by the pool and other activities and not worry if it gets wet, dropped, scratched etc.
