Awesome sound both microphone and ear pieces!

(5 out of 5) by Christopher P. Tanger on May 7, 2008 (Chicago, IL USA)
There is no comparison in sound quality with most regular wired headphones of the same form factor. Amazing sound quality both on the microphone and earphones. Yes, that is correct they are 2 way. Ultra light and comfortable.

1 CAVEAT!!! If you live in a major metropolitan area with high density housing (high rises) forget using them, there are simply too many 2.4 Ghz 802.11b/g wireless(WiFi) networks interfering with the bluetooth. These headphones were unusable in my 45 story building in Chicago, however they work wonderfully in my 8 story building in Dallas. I have a 2.4 Ghz 802.11G network in my home and there are at least 10 in range when using these and they work well. In Chicago I had 150+ wireless networks in range and they couldn't cut through the interference.

Great bluetooth headphones!

(5 out of 5) by James Ridgway on Sep 23, 2008 (San Diego, CA USA)
I was very wary of getting bluetooth headphones at this point as I was unsure of how good the technology is. I managed to find these at a decent discount and have been extremely pleased at the performance. Sound quality is excellent! They do not interfere with either the bluetooth keyboard or mouse I am also running on the macbook. Overall I cannot say enough good about these. They work great! As good or better than most low-moderate end wired headphones.

Very good Acustic Performance

(4 out of 5) by Stefan Lavriv on Jun 5, 2008 (MD, USA)
I have this Unit for 2 months now. It has very good sound Quality in phone and music modes.
Only my concern is mechanical construction of the headphones itself. They look and feel very fragile. It will be good idea to have hard box of some kind to carry this product when it is not on your head (When driving for example).

I might be easy to please...........but awesome

(5 out of 5) by Richard Heckmann on Jul 24, 2009 (MA)
OK. Sometimes I expect digital product complexity...............not here. These suckers are intuitive to use and sync with ease. What really surprised me was the quality of sound for reasonably priced headphones. Love them.

Works completely as advertised

(5 out of 5) by C. Regester on Jul 15, 2009
The Sony DR-BT22 Bluetooth headset works just as advertised. This was my first experience with Bluetooth technology so I wasn't sure what to expect. After the first charging, performed the pairing procedure (which was really easy) and it immediately paired up with my cell phone. Calls on the headset are clear and easy to understand. From what I'm told, my voice sounds good as well.
Listening to music is ok. Bluetooth being what it is, you do lose some audio fidelity. I'm not really an "audiophile" as such, but I could tell when the audio high's would cut out on some of the more expressive passages in the music. It doesn't really make any difference to me as I mostly listen to podcasts anyway and I already knew this was an issue. Just be advised that this is one of the current shortcomings of the Bluetooth technology at this point. The headset does sound good even with these limitations. Bass comes thru fairly well and sounds pretty good.
The headset controls are intuitive and easy to use. Super convenient to control the playback of music without ever having to actually be close to the device.
The design of the headset is pretty well thought out. It does fold up into a nice small package for travel and such. Not the most rugged design I've ever seen but does seem to be holding up rather nicely. I am pretty gentle with my electronics so that is something to keep in mind. The headset sits on my head relatively securely and is fully adjustable for different sized individuals.
My experience with the Sony DR-BT22 Bluetooth headset has been very positive. I will definately be more interested in other bluetooth products from Sony and others in the future.
