Does the Job!

(5 out of 5) by C. Reynolds on May 4, 2008 (Murrieta, Calif.)
I really like this cover! Nice soft leather. Holds my Kindle in place nice and securely. Allows me to get to the buttons in the back without much effort. Folds over easily for those who like to read it that way. I know I do. Nicely padded to protect my Kindle. Has a pen holder and slots for SD card and business cards. I have not had any transferring of color onto my Kindle but I don't take it out of the cover much. I don't know if that makes a difference or not. Beautiful cover and I don't worry about my Kindle falling out like it did with the cover that came with it. I highly recommend this cover!! Worth every penny!

Just about right

(4 out of 5) by Daniel Parilla on Apr 23, 2008 (Kailua, Hawaii)
A very nice leather cover. Holds and protects the kindle well, and it is still easy to reach the switches on the back. Only a tad wider than the kindle original, but still fits in a flight suit leg pocket. The pen and SD card slots are a nice plus. My only complaint is the clasp, it is a tuck in type, and I think a snap magnet would be a little better, but that is pretty knitpicky. Overall a great case, nicely executed.

Great Cover

(4 out of 5) by J. Taylor on Nov 9, 2008 (Washington State)
This just feels better built than the cover amazon provides, and it definitely holds the kindle in better. The only complaint I have id trying to get to the on/off and wireless switches, but that is more amazon's fault than m-edge (for crappy placement). I found that putting the loop that supposed to go over the top right corner of the kindle over the back of the cover instead, it allows me easier access to those switches, and the Kindle remains in the cover pretty securely.

Much Better

(4 out of 5) by Jim on Aug 21, 2008 (Columbia, MD)
Very nice. I wondered what to do with the strap when the Kindle was in use. Decided to fold over the book cover and tucked it into the holder (picture provided). Also gives you an inch and a half on the left side making the Kindle easy to hold in the left hand. You need to make sure the top right holder is not twisted or else the "Next Page" tab is engaged. Can be an issue when you slide it off the Kindle to access the power and wireless connection switches.

Stylish, Sturdy Cover

(4 out of 5) by J. Webb on Sep 13, 2008 (Boulder, CO USA)
Although the stock Kindle cover was working OK for me, I wanted something a bit more secure, based upon other users feedback. The M-edge cover is very secure, some might even think too secure. The Kindle is held in so tightly, even with the upper right strap loose, that it is a struggle to turn the device on or off.

My biggest complaint about the cover is the closure strap. It has a natural curl to it, and over the course of a reading session it wants to flop in front of the screen. There needs to be a slot on the back of the cover, similar to the one on the front cover, to tuck the strap into when it is open. I have tried tucking it under the Kindle, but the thickness prevents the page forward button from working. Folding the whole cover in half and tucking it in the front cover slot works, but has to be shortening the lifetime of the spine.

If it wasn't for that tab, it would be 5 stars.
