Better than the fake leather version
A month ago I returned the fake leather version of this cover because it was staining my Kindle with black smudges. My original Kindle cover is showing some wear and tear and I wanted to replace it. I decided to give M-edge another try with the all-leather version. I am very happy with it. It has a great feel to it (not as flimsy as the fake leather one). It also looks great and protects the Kindle very well.
I would give it five stars, but I think the price is a bit steep.

Quality leather, good interior features
I purchased this cover after reading reviewers' complaints about the cover that comes with the Kindle. After making the investment in the Kindle, I wanted the cover to be a good one. This cover truly is. The exterior is a soft slightly pebbled texture, supple and slightly padded. The tab latch is easy to use. The interior is a grey suede. The cover interior has pockets/slots on the left hand side. These turned out to be very handy during a recent trip as I was able to tuck my passport in a pocket along with my boarding pass, an unexpected bonus. The cover makes the Kindle look and feel more like a book.

Got one for Christmas and am sending it back.
I was very disappointed in this cover. Have had my Kindle for 6 months and maybe I am too used to the cover that comes with the device. I like being able to BEND the cover back which doesn't seem to work for the M-edge. It is important to me as a lefty to have access to the buttons on the left side of the Kindle to advance the pages. It is just easier to do this with the old cover; too awkward with the M-edge. It is beautiful but not practical for me.

disappointing design
I bought the M-edge to replace the cover Kindle supplies. It has two flaws: 1) it is hard to get the Kindle in and out of the cover, and 2) the only way to turn the Kindle on or off is to fish it out of the cover (provoking problem 1). This is bad design.

hold the Kindle well
Just a couple comments. The upper left tab tends to hit the prev page button. The upper right elastic has to be left off to keep it from hitting the next page button. It's still very difficult to get to the on-off button.
In my opinion the workmanship isn't as high quality as the original Kindle cover. The bumpy black leather looks a little like vinyl. Not sure where all the new padding is that people are talking about on this revised version. The original Kindle cover had more.
On the plus side, which is why I will continue to use it, my Kindle hasn't slipped in it yet. The change was so immediately apparent when I first put it on. I like the tab closure. And it's a little larger than the original Kindle cover. I feel the device is better protected in this cover.
