Good cover but stained my Kindle
I like the cover, it protects the Kindle very well, much better than the one Amazon supplied, it feels very good in the hand and also folds easily. One major complaint and the reason I only gave it a 3 star is that the suede lining stains the Kindle. I got the black one and now my Kindle has spots of black stains around the edges. I still have not figured out how to remove the stains. I tried water and a mild soap and it didn't work. They should at least make the lining color fast or a lighter color instead of black. Now my Kindle is looking not as nice as before which is a bummer.

Superior Cover - but has some staining issues.
I got my Kindle on May 2nd and was frustrated with the original cover - so I ordered this leather cover and it is indeed superior to the original Kindle cover. There is an issue with the M-Edge cover possibly staining your clean white Kindle (if you ordered black).
To keep this from happening to you, you can use the foam insert that comes with the cover when you close up the Kindle. This double protects the entire device and will prevent stains from occurring on the edges or surface.
If you do encounter a stain, use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, with just a TINY DAB of water at the edge. Hope this is helpful!

A superior cover for the Kindle
For those of us who prefer leather, this is the cover for you. Overall this cover is VERY nice. I LOVE the leather smell. Aside from that it is a great cover. I like the way it holds the kindle - it's extremely secure. I also like the way it closes - it isn't tight like the Amazon cover - but it doesn't need to be as the four corners are held in a positive way so that the kindle itself will not slip out. I was a little worried about the elastic corner that allows access to the switches, I shouldn't have worried. It simply holds that corner lightly and is VERY simple to move to turn the unit on and off.
Overall I feel it is a great improvement over the base cover. I haven't tried the light with it yet, but I feel this will be no problem.

Sub-Standard Quality, Overpriced, Poor Execution, Flea Market Bargain Bin Grade Item
I decided to overlook the many complaints about staining from this case, believing I could deal with those issues. But I wish now that I hadn't. Not because I have staining issues (yet - I just got it), but because the price to value ratio, and the construction of this item, make it a bad buy.
Placing anything in the pockets of the suede lining generates a tearing sound as the suede rips away from the cardboard backing to which it is apparently glued. The suede itself is so thin as to be fragile. The stitching is inadequate in the size of thread, and the pitch too great. Fit and finish is poor. I do not expect this unit to last long, and I doubt that I can make use of the "pockets" without seeing failures occur in short order.
I suppose the fact that this case stains people's Kindles should have been a clue that this item was of low quality. Had I paid flea market prices for this I would have not felt so bad about it, but I paid a price commensurate with a decent quality product.
Why so many positive reviews about this product? I'm not sure. Perhaps there have been some production runs which were better quality. Or perhaps some folks are just more easily pleased. Whatever the reason, I would gladly replace this case with something else of better quality if I can find it.
I strongly suggest you look long and hard for other options before buying this overpriced and sub-standard item.
Zero Stars!

Big problems with the upper left tab
I have a friend that bought the red version of this cover and loved it, but I have had big problems with the upper-left tab. It pinches the previous page button hard enough that it doesn't click gracefully anymore. Even worse, it activates randomly every 20 minutes or so and goes back about a dozen pages. I had to revert to the old kindle cover after an afternoon of frustration.
I may try stretching the leather on the upper left tab to see if I can fix it.
