Great little MP3/Radio

(5 out of 5) by J. Haveman on Jun 12, 2008 (Holland, MI)
I purchased the unit for my wife and was counting on Philips for quality. We were not disappointed. This is a great little unit and very easy to use. I especially like the "thumb-drive" feature where we just plug it into a USB port and copy files. There's no need for special cables or adaptors. Way to go Philips!

graet product

(4 out of 5) by E. Chiel on Jan 28, 2009
Nice little player. Installation of the software is easy, and so is the file transfer - simply copy / paste. The sound quality is great. The only problem I have is with the headphones - they keep poping out of my ears and I can't jog with them. Haven't tried the radio yet. Overall, I think this is a very good product if you are looking for a simple player and you don't need to watch videos etc.

Don't press too hard.

(4 out of 5) by P. E. Chaintreuil on Dec 3, 2008 (Lee Center, NY United States)
Don't press the buttons too hard, my grandmother thought this was broken because both she and my mother were pressing the buttons too hard. This was causing the button presses not to register. We almost returned it because we thought it was defective. Now that they realize they don't have to mash the buttons, it seems to work just fine for them.

Such a disappointment....

This is the third FM radio/MP3 I've had in the past 2 years - at least the first 2 (by sanDisk) lasted more than a month before they crapped out! Initially I liked this for ease of use and sound quality, but after a month of gentle use the sound started cutting out, first on one side then on the other. After 6 weeks this player was completely useless. I plan to send it to Phillips to see if they can do anything with it.
