I'm waiting for December 17th, to see if it improves. So far, all I can get is channel 10, and the sound is very tinny. I didn't expect to find that it's a wide screen, which broadens faces, so that they don't look the way they actually do. It stretches out their faces sideways like taffy. The color may improve after the 17th. I certainly hope so, and hope that I can get other stations, as well. If not, I'll return it.

I replaced my little desktop with this COBY and find that it shuts off for no reason occasionally. It needs a pretty strong signal to function properly. It most likely will not receive the new HD signals after 2/19/09 although I have not tested it and don't really need it to. This basically is an inexpensive TV that lives up to it's type. It suits my needs at the moment because of it's size and footprint and when it shuts off I just turn it on again with the remote control. If you want a reliable truly HD little TV this is not the one for you.

This item has been returned. It was not what we wanted. The description did not indicate that we needed an antenna/monitor/cable in order to view the set. We are awaiting a credit to our account.
