Coby 10.2 Inch LCD TV
(1 out of 5) by Patricia D. Keenan on Apr 1, 2009I purchased this TV for my mother to use in her kitchen. Unfortunately, the viewing area is extremely small, so much that she could not really see the screen. The black border around the TV is huge. I had to return the TV to purchase a larger screen.

Picture quality.

There are better options

It has a lot of wasted black space around the screen.
Pretty basic and not a very good value for what you get.
There are better choices out there. Look around.

Love the versatility
(5 out of 5) by Z. Pham on May 21, 2008 (California)This is a small TV. It can be wall-mounted or it can rest on the included stand. The tv can also be used as a computer monitor.
I have no complaints about picture quality. The colors are natural and sharp.
Reception is lousy without an external antenna. In fact, I couldn't get a single channel in my area. I bought a Terk HDTVa Indoor Amplified High-Definition Antenna for Off-Air HDTV Reception for it and hooked it up. I immediately got 50 more channels. If you buy this to use as a TV, you must definitely buy an antenna to go with it.
Sound quality is acceptable, no static, but it's not crystal clear, either. Basically, it sounds like it's coming from a small box, which it is. Increasing the sound makes it sound like a loud sound from a small box.
I like my Coby TV. It sits above my treadmill and I watch it while working out. I've also used it when I needed an extra monitor from my computer. It performed nicely as a monitor. The images are clear and I didn't have any problems. Love the versatility.
