Great wireless headset

(5 out of 5) by Mona on Feb 12, 2009 (AK)
I use this headset every day with Skype. Love it. Good quality, clear sound. Finally I can walk around in my house, got hands free for our laundry or cook and can talk with my family on skype.

Incessant beeping with no information in manual about this.

(1 out of 5) by J Doe on Feb 4, 2009 (New York, NY USA)
I received my headphones from Skype about a week ago, charged them and tested them.

After less than 24 hours, three beeps and then a pause sequence started up--in stereo! More than annoying after nearly an hour of pouring over the manual, pressing all buttons many times and going to Skype's site, and plugging in/unplugging the unit. The beeping is so loud, you can't follow what you're listening to.

There is a Skype blog and this product was in there with the beeping issue. So I know it wasn't anything such as not compatible with Vista OS. It turns out only a few customers mention this so I am fairly certain everyone else returned theirs. But it is possible they opted to set them on fire to get some sense of relief.

I never used them for calls, as I intended, because listening to movies, music and educational CD's around my home was a great use for them but as I said, less than 24 hours after using them, they were intolerable due to inexplicable incessant beeping.

Their blog contained reports of non-stop beeps starting and stopping for no discernible reason at times during phone calls when mainly the other party was hearing it--and less incidents of the wearer enduring that maddening aggravation or both parties hearing it. One can imagine just how long any conversation would last with that in one's ear--not a kind way to maintain contact with friends and family.

This product is a nightmare--Skype claims no responsibility but I've yet to figure out where in the universe any customer service rep for this company could be reached. At $70+ its a disappointment to throw them out, not to mention the spendthrift behavior of doing so in our environmental awareness era. Makes me wonder why Skype carries this shabby product, between the beep issue and non-replaceable dead batteries after a few months. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Love my headphones

(5 out of 5) by Michelle on Jan 7, 2009 (NY, NY)
This purchase turned out to be quite a surprize. The headphones are wonderful. The ability to not be physically connected to the computer and walk around and be able to do other things while on here is quite amazing. The pros: incredible flexibility and independence. The cons: the only feature not quite up to par is the volume control. This could be improved upon. Overall, this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone, particularly anyone using Skype. Works great. Thanks

not so happy

Headset worked fined for a month. Then the mic quit. I still hear audio. I would NOT BUY this product again. If you do good luck.

Very good option

I really liked this product. The batteries will operate without needing to be recharged for at least 6 hours and the sound quality is great also. The only thing I didn't consider positive is its appearance and comfort.
