I am using the receiver as an audio amp to play my digital recorder and guitar through. Works great and came sooner than they said.

Not impressed

(2 out of 5) by M. Bujak on Jun 2, 2008 (USA)
Just hooked it up and apparently this piece will not play audio through HDMI. It has pass-through and can only be played through the TV. Whats the point? I'm sure the rest of it is satisfactory but I could have kept my old non-HDMI.

BE CAREFUL

(1 out of 5) by S. Craig on Jan 6, 2009
I bought this to hook up surround to my tv. This model has HDMI video only, so will not play sound from a HDMI source. I returned product and bought something else. Was very heavy well built unit, would be great for a stero setup, but is not for your new tv setup!

Amazon screwed me

(1 out of 5) by R. S. Breaux on Feb 28, 2009
I would not purchase this from Amazon. 3 months after owning this product the display screen went out. Of course its past the window of return so now I am screwed. Last time I purchase electronics from Amazon.com
