I bought this player for my 9 year old daughter and she loves it. It is just as good as an ipod at half the price. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an mp3 player for a younger person or someone who doesn't need to have tons of storage.
Another great MP3 player solution for my children!
In the past, I've purchased SanDisk Sansa players, like the very affordable SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player (Black), so my kids can listen to their MP3s, and so I don't pay a crazy amount of money for Apple's iPods. This MP3 player is more expensive than the Sansa Clip, but it's a really sweet little MP3 player. It's very thin, and the color screen is larger than other Sansa player's I've purchased. Battery life seems on par with what I've normally seen, that is, you can use this player for hours and hours between charging it. It's such a nice unit, in fact, that my oldest son, upon seeing his sister's new Fuze, began wanting a Sansa Fuze to replace his older, perfectly functioning Sansa player from a few years ago. The Fuze is smaller, lighter, and has a bigger screen display over earlier models which adds to its appeal. I think the sound coming from the Fuze is great (but then, I think the same thing about all the MP3 players I've bought).
For children, I think the Sansa players are a terrific choice. They're not very expensive, so when they get lost or broken -- as they often seem to do in the hands of my two daughters -- I don't cringe. A co-worker had that cringing feeling when his son's iTouch broke just outside its warranty period.
Using the Fuze is simple as always. It's easy to sync music to it using Windows Media Player, and it's easy to navigate the menu system. In short, it's a great choice for those seeking a new MP3 player and who don't want to spend a lot of money to get great sound and function.

Better than Apple
Purchased for my wife who wanted an mp3 player. In my opinion is better than Apple devices. Its memory can be expanded with a microSD card and the latest firmware supports the OGG audio format.
It can be connected to a computer using two protocols:
1. MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)
2. MSC (Mass Storage Class)
The MSC protocol makes the Fuze recognized as a USB drive so it can be used also for data transfer or backup.
I tried it with MS Windows Vista and Linux using both options and it worked well.
The screen is bright, the battery has a long duration and the device is easy to use. The integrated radio is a great idea!
We have been using it for a while without problems.

love it!
I really love this mp3 player. Its interface is really self explanatory, so even a non-tech person like me could figure it out. It sounds great, even through cheap headphones, and there are tons of equalization options. Ive dropped it on pavement about 10 times, and the screen got pretty scratched up, but it still works! If you are the kind of person that tends to drop things, I would get a screen protector. :)
The only minor inconvenience Ive found is having to run video and pictures through a converter. Its really not a big deal though, you just have to wait a few extra minutes.
The video quality isn't amazing, but really, what are you going to be watching on a 1.9 inch screen anyway? All I want to watch are music videos, and the quality is more than enough for that.
Overall, I highly recommend this player!

Purchase Review for SanDisk Sansa Fuze (2GB)
I love this MP3 player. It holds more songs that I can listen to in a day. It converts home movies from my computer that I can watch at random; keeps all of my audiobooks at the tips of my fingers and has playlist & download capabilities so I can hear only what I want to hear while I'm in motion instead of dealing with the frustration of hearing the same random songs over and over again. The display and sound quality are excellent. The life of the battery outlasts me so I'm usually asleep before the player dies on me. That is definitely a plus. My days would be far more stressful if it were not for this fantastic product. Whether you're a student, a parent, or CEO, the SanDisk Sansa Fuze (2GB)is a 'must-have' for the person On-The-Go.
