I bought this Kenwood DNX 5120 Navi system from ApexSuppliers for like $720.-. When I went to have it installed I was told some wires thKenwood DNX5140 6.1-Inch Wide Double-DIN In-Dash Nagivation with USB/iPod Direct Control/DVD Receiverat are required and normally come with these units was not in the box. So I took the box back, and contacted ApexSupplies 4 times, they will not let me return the item claiming that the installer must have taken the wires. But the installers NEVER got to the point of installing since they checked the contents of the box at the counter while I was standing there. Bottom line, DONT do business with APEXSUPPLIERS via Amazon. As a matter of fact, i have lost respect for Amazon too! They dont even deserve 1 star, but there isnt any 'no-star' option.
GPS down after a month !!
I still have this in the van but with no GPS. To get it serviced you must and I mean MUST take the unit out and send it in. So the company offers little help just send it and then you will be told what it cost to fix it or IF it is under warranty. I had it installed so they of course will charge to uninstall then reinstall Ugh !! I would have liked for this to have worked for more than a few months. Once the GPS screen went Blue (the day before our big trip!) I tried doing firmware updates and reset stuff but nothing gets the GPS up. So if you want a great unit with no GPS this is it. I gave it two stars only because I paid extra for the iPod cable and love it. I really enjoy putting the iPod in the glove box and controlling it via the unit screen. So I would not buy this unit again and also not happy with company.
Excellent radio
Installed this radio myself and it is great. Fits perfectly in my 2003 GMC pickup double din radio slot. GPS is excellent. Ipod connection is fast and easy to use via the onscreen interface. You will love this radio if you like your Ipod and need GPS. The screen is a great size and having a "real" volume knob is a must. Backup camera is a cool feature too.
Love it, all that I need and more.
I love my Kenwood stereo. The screen is nice and bright and the touch is very responsive. So far the navigation system has not failed me and I love that I don't have to take it in and out of my car like portable navigation units - for fear of being stolen.
I only wish it had more output options. Been trying to figure out how to run an AV line out, to run a DVD music in the head unit while being able to plug it in and watch it on a portable DVD player (using the line in on the portable). Seems like the option is, or should be, there. Just can't figure it out. Anyway, this thing has plenty of options and they seem faily logical to me. It has what I need.

My Son's Leap Frog Works Better
The interface is clunky, reminds me of a DOS operating system. For the price (you could buy a full computer, granted a low-end model, but it would work better) the software has major glitches and works sporadically. The iPod interface crashes and reboots; names and titles of the artists and songs disappear. The whole forward/reverse interface disappears. The XM interface has problems-can't get any channels to appear beyond the first 5. If you try to scroll to other channels, then the first 5 just keep reappearing. Finally, trying to navigate the cryptic interface is a pain. It is not intuitive. Bottom line - don't bother with this unit, unless you got copious amounts of time to spend running the software upgrades or taking it back to your installer. (Or perhaps you are just a major stereo geek and want to spend your free time fixing these sorts of things). But, if you're like me with a full time job and family, and have better things to do, this stereo system isn't worth the price. The programmers who created this should be fired. My 3-year old's Leap Frog system (that I spent $25 for) runs better, has better graphics and interfaces, and doesn't crash.
