Ok for most users.

I bought this to replace the onboard parallel port that died on my old Sager notebook. The insertable length of this card is a lousy 0.1" too short to make contact with the mating connector inside that notebook so I can't use it on that. I've use several other PCMCIA cards in this and never saw that problem before.

It fit ok in a Dell inspiron notebook and in a Toshiba satellite too.

It's use is probably transparent when using it with a printer (defaults to port LPT3 where Windows would find a printer automatically), but I need it to interface with a chip programmer. That worked fine on the Toshiba once I figured out that I needed to change the programmer software settings to look for it at hex port address FCE8 rather than the usual 0378, 0278, or 03BC. (The FCE8 address was found by looking at the adapter's resource settings properties in device manager.)
I'm not sure any cardbus card could use the standard addresses, so I can't fault them for that.
