This works for me

(5 out of 5) by mstubie on Oct 4, 2008 (NJ USA)
Very Nice! I bought the Sennheiser CX300 buds to go with this, and the sound is much better than "acceptable". Scrolling thru folders takes a little practice. It's been playing for over 12 hours with 1 X AAA 1200 mAh NiMH rechargeable battery and the volume set between 15-20 (32 is max).

Since there is no SD memory slot, I used wma encoding for max storage, and set the mixer to Jazz.

I recommend going to Coby's website. You can download the manual to get all the details this unit has to offer.

Summary: No firmware updates, long battery life, great sound. For the $$
this Coby MP300-4G mp3 player "works for me". Treat it for what it is - a small piece of technology, and I think it should last for quite a while.

Best thing ever

I was a bit skeptical when I saw the price. I figured it must have SOMETHING wrong with it, but nope. Just like the other reviews say, this thing is great. Sure, it's no ipod, but that has its advantages too - like the fact that you can simply drag and drop mp3s on to this thing like a regular flash drive (without having to install iTunes or any other software). Love it.

Nice Handy Mp3 Player

(4 out of 5) by Veboishe on Aug 14, 2008 (Colombia)
Ive had this for about three months, and so far I'm very satisfied with it. Doesn't have the limitations of i pods and other far pricier players, plays great, sounds great, looks great. Decent battery life easy to load with music through windows media player. My only complaint is the design of the buttons they come in a straight row at the top of the player which makes awkward to switch songs or raise or lower the volume, unless you can stop and stare at the unit.

Good product for the price

(4 out of 5) by MaryBeth on Aug 8, 2008 (Ohio, USA)
This is a very good mp3 player for the price. If you don't want to spend a lot but still have a decent mp3 player this is a good one to consider. The sound is pretty good. I use it in my car more than anywhere else and it is fine. The only problem that I have had is if I turn the volume up all the way it will sound grainy through my car speakers. Over all I would recommend this to anyone who wants a cheap player that's pretty good.
