Not too bad
I signed up for a credit card, and this was a "membership exclusive" item that I purchased with my initial bonus points (yes, it was a very nice bonus gift).
I set up the system, and adjusting settings requires a little reading. Typically, you have to be on the DVD setting, viewed through your TV (pop in a DVD and hit stop), to adjust any of the settings.
When finally set up properly, the sound is nice for music and DVDs. For cable, the sound can be iffy--I don't know if this is a problem with my cable box (I suspect this is the true problem) or whether the aux in RCA plugs don't pick up as well.
The sound is a little bass heavy, depending on which source you are listening to. The sound is very good, especially for the design. If you are looking for form and function compromise, this is a good one. Being a renter, I don't really want to spend a whole lot of money on a surround install, and can't stand the exposed wires.
Tip: If the dvd ever has issues ejecting, or won't open, disconnect power and reconnect. This happened once to me, and had me worried.
The sound is mostly loud enough: I would say it works best with a room that has equidistant side walls (from the system).
If you are the type of person who needs to have total control over your sound system (adjusting fade, balance, bass, treble constantly) don't buy this system. For those who don't have time to install, and want a plug and play system that delivers surprisingly good sound, this is probably a good option.
By the way, connect via HDMI to your tv. There is no input HDMI, only output.

Excellent
Compact, easy to set up, great performance. A good value at discounted price and perfect secondary system for smaller rooms although I imagine equally effective in larger ones.

Great...when it works
I've had this product for a little less than a year. When it's working, it's fantastic. It pairs well with my 46" Samsung TV, the sound quality is clear, controls are intuitive, and the subwoofer is really impressive. I bought it for its small footprint. Since I live in an apartment I didn't want to have to permanently mount speakers for a more traditional setup. No complaints on the audio or the video. My issue, however, is that I have had to send the unit back to Samsung three different times for service. The first two were because discs (even brand new ones) were skipping, freezing, and ejecting with a mind of their own. I called Samsung's technical support, followed all their troubleshooting steps, cleaned the interior sensors, and nothing happened. The first time I called I was on the line for over an hour. They agreed to repair it, but I had to ship it back at my own expense. I received the repaired unit back three weeks later, and it worked fine for a day before having the same problem again. I called Samsung again, and they agreed to pay for the shipping. A month passed, and they finally sent me a new/refurbished unit. It was perfect for about two months, until the door flap refused to open. I called tech support again and once more spent over an hour trying to sort it out with them. It's currently en route to the manufacturer for service again. Samsung has graciously offered to refund my purchase, but I really like the product...when it's working.

clear and simple
it was easy to setup and it sounds good. no complaints here. you probably can get better quality sound from a true surround sound system but for the size it is great. it is exactly what i expected and i recommend it for anyone looking for good sound from a compact system.

excellent product and service
i bought the samsung sound bar from amazon. Service was excellent.Had it from time of order to my door in 48 hours. I put it under my samsung hd tv,hooked it up ,and the sound is outstanding. The wireless sub is just that.Plug it in and it just sets itself. The bass is great. You pick up sounds your tv speakers NEVER got. A 5 star choice.
