Ok to start off, I want to say that although these 2 way radios are small, they are in no means bad. They work well and do have all the features described except for one thing. The advertised ranges for almost every 2 way radio I have seen except maybe the military grade radios are complete B.S. You would be lucky to get maybe a quarter of the range. Those advertised ranges are really exaggerations of what would be gotten if you were to use this in a rural area. Given the fact that most people are going to be using this in a suburban to an urban environment with a lot of buildings and radio chatter, the range for these kinds of radios is greatly diminished. For this radio in particular, I have found to have gotten maybe up to 1.5 miles with no real static or 3-5 miles on a full battery with static and interference. The radios also don't have very good battery life. Be prepared to buy rechargeable AAA batteries because my radios were basically dead after 6 hours of moderate use. Overall, I liked the radios, although there are flaws, the price is really good, the quality of construction is good and it does to some degree do what it is advertised to do.

For the price you can't beat these. I wanted a pair to that used regular batteries instead of rechargeables. These work just as advertised. There are range limitations, but I use these while driving in a group with out car club.

We already own an older motorola pair, which my 5 year old can use. But, we found she can handle these a lot better since they are smaller. also, at this price it won't matter as much if she happens to break it. so far it's worked well and the sound seems clearer than the motorola. will recomment when we use it more. i don't think we've used it farther than 100-150 ft.

Returned these, the squelch was a bit annoying. Other than that, they seemed to work fine.

I pruchased these for $19.99 from Amazon/Fogdog with FREE shipping. They work very well, great range, and easy to use. I would recommend them to anyone. The only feature they don't have is a lighted screen.
