etón FR1000 Voice Link Survival Radio

(5 out of 5) by Brian M. Hodges on Jun 5, 2009 (Pennsylvania)
Very nice piece of equipment, I was surprised it came with an additional radio. The only thing I don't like is they don't tell you the range of the 2 way radio's. I'm yet to test that out. I've had the Eton FR300 Emergency Radio, for the longest time and still have that next to my bed. But the FR1000 makes a nice addition strapped down to my Polaris Sportsman EFI 800

Cool product, but not what I thought it would be.

I bought this so I could monitor the walkie talkie while listening to the radio, but you cant do both at the same time, bummer.

Awesome radio

(5 out of 5) by J. W. Comish on Dec 21, 2008 (Columbia, MD)
I purchased this product to serve multiple functions and it does them all well. I can not rate the cell phone charger function as I have not tested it yet - but given the generator charges the internal battery - it should work just fine in a pinch. The GMRS radio was the primary draw for me to this unit for general purpose use and use in an emergency. I have other hand held GMRS radios( Midland and Standard Horizon ) that work very well with this radio. The FM radio also works well as does the weather radio and alert function. I use the radio with external mikes and headsets with no problems. Five stars.

Radio Review

(2 out of 5) by J. Haskell on Oct 27, 2008 (VERMONT USA)
The radio doesn't get good reception. We had to attach an antenna, and still can't hear it well. I figured with the quality and price, it should receive better than it does.
