This product was great, I bought it for our trip to South Carolina. We were driving and it's an 18 hour drive and we have a 3 yr old son! it kept him entertained the whole trip there and the trip home! You defenatly can't beat the price especially with all that it comes with! I would defenatly recommend this to all my friends and anyone who is looking to buy a portable dvd player!

Awesome Portable DVD Player

(5 out of 5) by V. Medina on Apr 17, 2009 (Chino Hills, CA)
Bought this for 3 year old right before an 8 hour road trip. The trip was a success there & back with this player. Works great, clear picture, good sound & even comes with 2 headphone sets. Also comes with a case with straps to strap on to your head rest. Daughter loves this thing, makes car rides sooo much easier! Coby did a good job with the design and quality on this one!
When not using in the car, stands like a picture frame. This is a very good buy, especially with Amazon's prices.

Pretty good, but some strange choices in the interface

(3 out of 5) by Kevin P. Galligan on Apr 15, 2009 (New York, NY)
What to say? Well, it works. I'd give it a 4, because in general, its fine. Opening the whole top to put in the dvd is a little annoying, and overall its a little "bulgy". However, the major issue is with the menu navigation. For some insane reason, you can only hit up and down in menus from the front of the thing. Not left and right. In order to navigate around, you need the remote control (unless there's some secret I haven't figured out, and I program interfaces all day). I look pretty dumb in the gym holding a remote control 3 inches from the thing.

I think I'm going to shop around for one that's thinner, has the disk slot load, and doesn't need the remote. Keep this for a backup, though. It does play fine.

Good deal for the money.

Over all, this product works well. The screen resolution isn't the greatest but my child doesn't know the difference! I only have 2 complaints. The remote needs to be facing the front of the DVD player, so if you are driving you have to reach behind the seat to get it to register (kinda defeats the purpose). Second the screen is a really shiny plastic, so it scratches easily, especially when removing from head rest sleeve, I guess if I had known and kept the velcro away from the screen it would be fine. The scratches aren't noticeable when the dvd player is on. I'd recommend this to a friend, just be careful to avoid scratches and set up the dvd player before driving.

great for the price

After doing some research I came across this portable DVD player. What a great buy for the money. We needed a DVD player for the car to keep our kids occupied during long trips. Easy to install, two headphones, car charger, headrest bag....all we needed. The only thing we will need is a portable DVD bag to keep the DVD player and attatchments together. We had it for about a month and it works great. It also has cables to connect the DVD player to a TV...which should come handy next month on an overnight trip at a hotel.
