Don't assume that this will work with any laptop or netbook as it does not work for my ASUS netbook. Too bad I was in Bangkok and had to buy another charger there. Very disappointing that there was no hint of such a limitation.

I requested the I85 for Christmas, and received it in 2008. The components are a little bulky, but it seemed to work well, until this week. I've had only one extended assignment where I travelled each week for approx. 3 mos. I am very conscientious to wrap everything well, and return to the case. Despite low usage and good care, the cord failed on me this week, leaving me without a PC or phone recharge capability during a California trip (and I'm east coast). Today I called the support for iGo and was told they could not take my call, to leave a message. I left a vm and went on the web to place a report. No response from either within an hour. I'm very disappointed

Lasted few months, then started acting on/off, eventually died. Tried to file a warranty claim, but it is not so easy -- no such form to be found on the manufacturer's site. Eventually received one email from support, and no follow up at all. Waste of time and money. Plenty of good products and companies out there, stay away from iGo.

I ordered this item and paid for rush delivery. It came too late to be of use to us and it was returned. They charged a re-stocking fee and didn't reimburse for rush shipping - even though it was not shipped rush. Very disappointed with these people and will never order from them again.

I use my Sony SZ notebook everyday; from using as a desktop computer docking it at my office to personal use at home. The iGO everywhere85 is compact and convenient. The retractable cord is very useful, especially when you are on the go. Instead of having the cables tangled up or taking the time to bunch it up with a velcro, the self retractable housing is great. Just one push of a button and the cable is wound up and ready to go.

The charging brick is pretty small also. I purchased this because of the small form factor. It doesn't take up much space in my small notebook bag and once the cables are detached, its as small and thin as most netbook chargers.

It comes with an air plane, auto and wall outlet adapter, so you can use it almost anywhere you need. The cable that attaches to the wall outlet is a standard 2 prone cable. This is great because you can buy this at almost any hardware electronic store. I have even seen them at a 1 dollar store. You can just leave these cheap 2 prone cables at any place you usually use the notebook. All you have to pack is the retractable cord and the power adapter.

If you are a person that is often on the go, like I am, then this is a great buy for you.
