So far so good

Have not had a chance to use it yet.
So far, it works well with testing at home.
Will come in handy when camping in remote areas when cell phones are not reliable.

All Have A Short Range

(2 out of 5) by Herd on Aug 29, 2009 (DC)
The truth is all of these radios have about a 2 mile range unless you are in an area with no buildings or trees. We sent them back.

Excellent

(5 out of 5) by A. Derdab on Aug 17, 2009 (Kuwait)
While in the US, I have decided to purchase Motorola radios to use them in different places such as Disney parks & shopping malls. It was really good to have them and communicate with my wife specially if we split.

At the parks, the voice was clear, no interruption by other radios due to the variety of channels, it has saved us a lot of tele-mobile cost.

We had a problem using the device once at the Tyson Mall in Washington DC where I was at the lower level of the mall and my wife was at the second floor, other than that, the device worked perfectly.

I recommend having the device. And use a regular batteries instead of the rechargeable ones which in the box, they give you a good power along with long usage time.

Nice radios, however the range is nowhere near the stated distance. On land it will work ok till about a mile or two max. Battery life is not all that great either.

Motorola radios

Great radios. SAME works perfect and can be a lifesaver here in the Midwest. Radios work well for our intended use. Haven't tested extreme distance yet. Seem very rugged.
