Didn't Even Work
It turns on, but doesn't get recognized by any computers I try. I've worked with several other Mp3 players for other people and this is the worst ever. Don't expect tech support, because I tried during their open hours and just got a recording.

Art project
I bought this player to use a source of music for an mixed media art project I was creating. It worked just fine for that purpose. I use an Apple Classic ipod for serious music listening.

Good but lacks usb charging
This is a good player but needs to be improved to compete in the market. Should have USB charging option also and does not play protected files, so you should have knowledge on type of music file to copy the files to the player. Some times does not get switched on, you have to press and hold the start button for more than 5 seconds, by description if you hold for 3 seconds it will get switched off. Some times hangs. Uses AAA alkaline battery so no USB charging option. No LCD display.

Coby Mp3 player 1gb
great low priced Mp3 player for a second player thats no frills and just plays back music
You get what you pay for
I bought this as a temporary MP3 player until I got a replacement for my 80 GB Zune. For $15 this is an okay product. The battery life is great (it takes a single AAA) and it satisfactorily plays music. The latter is what my lenient rating is based on, since you can't expect much else from a $15 player. Although it plays music satisfactorily, it's definitely not a player I would want to use for a prolonged period of time. So, here are the cons:
*As other reviewers have pointed out, the music plays in the order in which you put in the music (using the drag and drop method). There is no way to rearrange the songs, even with the player's software.
*The buttons are annoying to use. (For example, if you wanted to fastforward through a song, you'd have to press the button down hard enough - otherwise the button will be released and you will simply skip to the next song).
*The buttons do not always do what they should. Sometimes the volume buttons pause the player and sometimes they cause the player to skip to the next song.
*The player sometimes cuts off randomly. The problem is fixed when you reset the player.
*The sound is not very full and could be louder, but it is decent.
*The earphones that come with it are terrible. They are much too big to fit in my (and probably most people's) ears and the sound that comes out of them is very tinny. (Granted, I didn't expect much from them anyway given the price).
If you are looking for something VERY simple, just need something to workout with, or don't want to travel/commute with your more expensive player, this would be a great player for you. Otherwise, you might want to invest a little more money into a more functional and reliable player.
