I bought this for my new laptop and have been very happy with it. It does not look like the typical laptop case, so I fancy it is less a target for theft if seen through my car window. You can wear it when biking or just walking around campus. The padded compartment is only lightly padded, so I added the Belken neoprene sleeve:Belkin Neoprene Notebook Sleeve for 17-Inch Laptop (F8N049-BR) With the combination, I feel very secure. There is still plenty of room left over for several books, a power strip, headphones, mouse, mouse pad...

based on reviews i read, i wondered if it would be too big for my toshiba 15.3" laptop, but it's not. in addition to my toshiba, i can carry two large textbooks, all my papers, mouse, charger, pens, calculators etc. and STILL have room for FOOD!

if i want a little more padding i still have room to put my laptop in a sleeve.

i am a small-framed woman, and there were some comments about this pack being too large. but if you have ever struggled with getting your second arm into the strap (if you ever have, you'll know exactly what i mean :),
THIS is the pack for you! i can slide it off and on with ease, unlike a traditional backpack. plus, it just looks cooler, and has a handy bottle opener attached, too!

I was in need of something to carry my 6X11 wacom around safely when I go to school. The bags I looked at that are made for 15.5" laptops where too small for the dimensions I needed to put my wacom in, and out of all the 17" laptop bags this one seems to be the best rated for the best price. When it arrived I was surprised on how BIG it is. I was expecting it to be about the size of a normal back pack, but I am glad that I have plenty of room to fit my books in there. Another surprise is how light it is compared to it's size, and the materiel doesn't feel cheap at all. Straps are quite comfortable even with the heavy load. Though the only complaint I have is there should should be a little more padding at the bottom where the laptop/wacom would go. I plan on using this bag with me when I travel to Japan, and I am defiantly ordering this as a birthday gift for a friend!

I am very happy with this backpack. The color is great. I have to lug around a lot of materials, and this backpack is perfect for it. The straps are very sturdy and don't cut into my shoulders. It is very comfortable to wear.

This bag is great for carrying my laptop and my books. It is not as bulking as the other 17" bags I saw.
