Alarmingly Smooth

(5 out of 5) by Mea on Dec 15, 2008 (MI,USA)
I got this card purely because I couldn't even LOAD Assasin's Creed with my old card (GeForce 6150). Now it runs smooth as can be with no problems. Guild Wars, my mmo of choice is running like it never has before with maxed out settings and the highest aliasing available. I couldn't even believe how beautiful it was really. And yeah, my photoshop isn't laggy anymore either. I know most people are buying this for games but you do get a boost in this area as well. I'm going to be checking if it's going to speed up my Maya as well, but I get the feeling it will.

I had my power supply upgraded as well, as a reminder that has been reiterated here over and over again. No problems with overheating and I rarely here the fac go, when it does it's not as loud as my old graphics card so I'm fine with it. I certainly can hear over it without problem.

It's beautiful too, but it hides in my case so I don't see how relevant that is :)

Awesome Card!

(5 out of 5) by Tessa S. Guerra on Oct 16, 2008
First off, for all you gamers out there looking to buy a cheap but great graphics card.. this is the one to buy. I know most people are all wondering how Crysis runs on this, well.. here's my review: All settings on Medium at 1920 x 1200 resolution runs like a dream. All high settings with 1024 x 768 runs pretty smooth with little to no lag. And with all settings set to Very High plays, but does lag, depending on the res you set it for. Not recommended to try and run this card on Very High for too long. Overall it smokes every other game on their max settings, easy to install, and the CD installation takes no time. 5/5 stars!

I got this because my 7300GT caused me a lot of headaches in a PC with Vista Ultimate.
I've really put this card through its paces and its performed admirably.
Here is one purchase I don't regret.

Excellent Product

I had just replaced my ATi Radeon X1950 Pro with this eVGA e-GeForce 9600 GT. It runs so much better then my ATi could ever have even when I had it overclocked. Naturally I put my new hardware under tests by playing them on different games with varied graphical settings. I can play all of my current games on the highest setting with ease and I'm at a steady framerate of 50+ on all of them. I recommend this to any gamer that is wishing to get his/her bang for the buck.

Tip: Remember to have or if you don't have, get a good power supply so you can get the full potential out of this thing :D
