Love this TV!

(5 out of 5) by V. Howell on Jan 12, 2009
We had been looking for a TV for our kitchen. Very happy with this one. More bells and whistles than some other similar priced models and the picture is outstanding. One minor complaint -- the desciption mentioned that it swivelled. The screan tilts up and down, but does not swivel.

Great picture soso sound

(4 out of 5) by Keith Menges on Jan 11, 2009 (Castro Valley, CA)
Great picture but the sound quality could be better. Being in the kitchen I don't expect surround sound quality, but the speakers should have been pointed forward rather than down at the floor.
The appearance is very nice with the touch of color frame. Over all, very happy with the product.

Poor vertical viewing angle

(2 out of 5) by James M. Stockard on Dec 16, 2008
The picture is OK but the TV is mounted high on a kitchen wall and when viewed from any angle below horizintal the picture tends to look like a photo negative. Very disappointed. I bought this, my first Samsung, thinking the name implied a reputation for quality.

Agree, this is a fantastic TV, but it's small...

(4 out of 5) by makeup maven on Dec 9, 2008
This is my first LCD TV, so I cannot compare it to others, but it is a great price for such a quality TV. I also with others agree below that I can't see the red touch of color red of the trim while watching tv, phew! I bought this to replace my 19" CRT TV. Very sleek looking but because it's a more rectangular shape (much more than in the picture on this website), when not viewing in 'wide screen' mode (16:9), but rather 4:3 like a regular tube TV, the picture size is actually the equivalent of a 16" tube tv! i almost returned it for the 22" version as soon as i opened it but I just couldn't be bothered so i'll deal with this one for a while. Honestly, if you will be sitting any further than 5' away from the TV, go for the 22" screen. Sound is fine for this size TV. On screen menu is fantastic, side controls on the face of the tv are very hard to see as they are specifically supposed to blend in. It's fine though, i'd prefer having to look harder than see them all the time. And I'm sure 99.5% of the time I'll be using the remote, so no biggie. Very slim design. I actually really like this tv, my only regret is not going bigger. It's about $100 more for the LN22A650, so if you're hemming and hawing and can afford it, go 22", if you are really into your tv, like movies or watch a lot of HGTV.

Great TV for the Bedroom

(4 out of 5) by Howard J. Kramer on Sep 10, 2008 (Forest Hills, NY United States)
Just connected this TV to my RCN Cable, without an HD Converter Box, and was extremely happy to see the High Definition Channels appear as this set has a built-in HD tuner. The picture is stunning. My only minor complaint is that the sound could use a bit more bass, even after adjusting the sound equalizer adjustment. (My living room TV has Bose external speakers, thus I may be too picky)

Overall, I rate this set 4.5; would have been a 5, except for the sound.
