Good tv with some annoyances

(3 out of 5) by Tyler Snouffer on Feb 1, 2009 (Downers Grove, IL)
We've had this tv for about a month now and wanted to share my like and dislikes:

Likes:
- Good, crisp, vibrant images. Looks great in HD and SD ain't too bad either. DVDs look great.
- Easy set up and full featured remote (w/ glow in the dark buttons)
- Many inputs for external devices
- Fine audio too (plenty loud for our bedroom)

Dislikes:
- Whirring noise when playing back DVDs. Pretty subtle but any noise from a DVD player at this point is unacceptable
- DVD player will even make noise if you have a DVD in and aren't playing it

Not a bad TV and a great fit for our bedroom. Having the dvd player built in reduces some clutter, but the fact that it make a whirring noise is really annoying to me. To be fair my wife doesn't notice it.

Awesome TV

(5 out of 5) by PBW on Dec 28, 2008 (Columbus, Ohio)
I use this at my desk and the viewing distance is perfect. I was afraid it would be too large but am sooo glad I chose 22 instead of 19. Mine is hooked up to AT&T cable system and on the high definition mode the HD chanels are incredible!!! Rivals my $2300 Samsung I just purchased. I originally hooked up with the red, white and yellow cables careful to make sure I had 2 sets so I woulod have a stereo sound. I then decided to try the HDMI cable and wow the sound was even better. I am veryyyy happy!!! The HDMI cable is expensive but I think t is worth it!!!

Good picture quality, extremely slow channel switching

(3 out of 5) by Huei Peng on Dec 2, 2008 (Ann Arbor, MI United States)
I read about the slow channel switching from early review comments but I thought it will not be so bad. This turns out to be a major flaw. From the time you press the channel number, it takes about 2-3 seconds to start the switching (the screen goes blank) and then another 2-3 seconds to latch on to the next channel. If you like to switch between channels, DO NOT BUY THIS TV.

The picture quality is very good, and it is very convenient to have the DVD player integrated. It is light weight and looks decent.

Love this tv!!!

(5 out of 5) by K. Ranieri on Dec 16, 2008 (Philadelphia, PA USA)
I installed this tv in my bathroom and it works perfectly. Before I purchased it, I read that some people did not like the limited volume. It works perfectly in the bathroom. The picture is great. The remote is easy to use. I would highly recommend this tv / dvd combo.

Great investment

(4 out of 5) by M. Mervil on Jan 7, 2009 (New York, NY)
I was very pleased with how lightweight it is and easy to set up. The delivery time was reasonable. The picture and sound are clear, but the sound is a little low when using the dvd setting. The TV is perfect size for a bedroom or kitchen. The buttons on the remote control even glow in the dark.
