A Great All-in-one for a small room

(4 out of 5) by David T. Woodhead on Dec 9, 2008 (Reston, VA USA)
Lets not try to make this something it isn't. Many of the reviews here talk about how this TV compares to other LCD flat panels and the truth is that it is a very basic TV which knows what it does and does it well.

I have read reviews about picture quality, I honestly don't know if these reviewers had bad sets or if they were just hooked up to a bad video source but I find the picture to compare well to my Sony LCD. It is a relatively small screen and there is light bleed at the edges, but nothing worse than you will see from other TVs in this price range. The backlight is bright enough for a well lit room and the DVD picture quality is great (DVD looks great on this size TV).

Channel skipping is slow, so if you intend to watch a lot of TV, plan to use a set top box from your HD provider and that will get you goodies like the interactive guide. If you want to plan for the future, the single HDMI on this box may be a limiting factor as it prevents you from watching HD TV and hooking up a Blu-Ray player via HDMI (though there is always the component input or a HDMI switcher).

Going back to the beginning, this is a TV for a bedroom or incidental location. It is not a home theater TV, but the picture quality and sound (unless turned all the way up) perform as well as anything else in this class.

Solid value for the Price

(5 out of 5) by Francis X. Fanucci on Nov 25, 2008 (Mobile, AL, USA)
Very pleased with the unit. Exceeded expectations. Digital tuner picked up station that I never knew were available off our cable system. Picture quality is outstanding. Audio is good for a unit this size. Light weight, easy to handle and move around. Setup was very simple. Changing channels takes a few more seconds than what I am use to. You won't be disappointed.

Great Little TV/DVD

(5 out of 5) by Wabbit on Jun 7, 2008 (Tuscaloosa, AL)
We got this TV/DVD with AMEX points to replace an old TV/VCR that went in the corner of the counter, under the shelves, in the kitchen. We were worried it might be TOO much, but it is a great TV. Great picture, takes up even less space than the TV/VCR with a smaller screen because it was a CRT unit. Highly recommend.

The perfect 22inch LCD TV!!!

(5 out of 5) by Patrick Ols on Jan 4, 2009 (Cleveland, OH)
Seemless, sleek & great picture. This LCD is the perfect TV for my morning room. I had it set and going with minutes. The DVD feature is perfect and it eliminates the need for any additional electronics hanging around. I own 2 Toshiba LCD's and I could not be happier. The glossy black bezel and speaker dock looks great and very fancy. Must Have!!!
