BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT BUY!

YOU EITHER HAVE TO HOOK UP THE LITTLE WHITE/RED SVIDEO OR OPTICAL CABLE FOR SOUND WHICH IS NOT TRUE SURROUND SOUND. I'M RETURNING IMMEDIATELY. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RUDE AND SAYS THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE PURCHASED A HIGHER COST MODEL (AKA $500 AND UP)TO GET THE TRUE SURROUND SOUND.

A complete waste of money for those wanting home theatre
(2 out of 5) by David Reid on May 27, 2008 (Schaumburg, IL USA)If you want a receiver that will allow you to connect your PS3, High Def cable and HDTV using the HDMI connections on this unit so that you can sit back and enjoy that hi def experience AND the great surround sound, you can forget it. This very poor unit does not support the sound. Wow... you can actually connect the high def equipment and listen to it through the speakers in your TV, making the unit completly superflous. What a waste of my time and money. Buy something else... anything else.. you'll be happier with your purchase.
