Good Value

(5 out of 5) by David Connor on Jun 15, 2008 (New Hampshire)
I purchased the MRP-F300 to drive a set of four Boston Acoustic SX60 separates (4-ohm with crossover). During setup I was checking speaker phasing and also ran a test on the amp to compare input to output driving the 4-ohm load. It was very accurate and stable driving positive and negative impulses at full volume and there was no appreciable distortion on the sinewave test (only tested down to 60 Hz). I can't say how it will perform driving a low-impedance sub but it makes a very nice platform for speakers in the 60-75 Watt range.

Nothing But Perfect from Alpine

(5 out of 5) by A. Deleon on May 20, 2009 (Queens, NY)
I was looking for an amp that can power my 2 ohms set up I had with a set of Infinity Kappas in the front and back so after doing my H.W. saw this puppy and gave it a try, couldnt believe it, so crisp and stong now, the sound is perfect and since the speakers I have are 2 ohms this amp is used to its full potential of 75 watts rms for each of my 4-channels.

Lean and Clean

(5 out of 5) by Dan on Feb 5, 2009 (Wilmington, MA)
I listen to all types of music. I was looking for a system that was powerful and crisp, not bone crushing, The Alpine MRP-F300 amplifier was a perfect fit for my Fit. It gave the power and clarity to the Sony head unit I was looking for. Combined with component and coaxial Polk speakers and with an Infinity Baselink powered sub, my system is a perfect Fit for all my listening needs. I always drive with a smile.

Alpine still has it!!

(5 out of 5) by T. Rockett on Sep 16, 2009
I bought this Amp on a budget and just wanted to power a sub and my back speakers because the stock Honda nav system has low voltage to the rear speakers so it's all front and no bass, Etc. SO I hooked this thing up to my old Pioneer Subwoofer box thing (Like $200 in the day/ 12 years ago or more) and hooked it up to my POLK 6 1/2 component speakers in the rear deck (And they have cross over boxes) WOW!!!!!! I had to turn the gain to 52% on the sub and 25% on POLK spkrs. This thing bumps but keep in mind it is not a 500 WATT AMP so I am not shaking peoples houses either!. Distortion is low (I hear NO Hiss) I am using the Sub Eq switch and have the cross-over turned all the way down on sub. it sounds killer! I am completely satisfied but have now built a new (Sealed) box with a R Fozgate Sub and need more power!! I am looking at a higher voltage Alpine.
***My Gripe.. I ran 4 AWG power wire and the terminal ends on the amp are small and you have to trim the GRND/PWR wire to 8AWG to use the terminal ends that I bought at FRY's for $1.99 and Heat shrink too. I tried to find a 4AWG reducer type terminal end with NO LUCK! but it works great and looks good!!

Really great sound quality

This device really suprised me about sound quality.
The installation was very easy and the setup was simple - the amp gain was fixed in a half of maximum power and the final result was great.
