A Good Pick
It has been a month since I have bought the Sony 8GB Walkman. No complains till now. I previously had the 2nd generation Apple Ipod and i wanted to change it. Though the IPOD looks and feels good I didnt think it was worth the buck in terms of sound quality, and features.
Pros:
1. Noise Reduction -9/10 (i really like this feature)
2. FM radio - 7/10
3. Video play back - 8/10
4. Music Equalizer - 8/10 (This is a kewl feature)
5. Menu's/GUI (User friendliness)- 7/10
6. Small and compact.
7. Files can be dragged n dropped in the folder (I really like this as u can you dont need any software installed, and you can take your songs from on computer to another)
8. Sturdy and well built
9. Good battery life
Cons:
1. Once a song ends there is a pause and then the next song starts, i would have love it if it was continues play back
2. No voice record feature (Not needed, but still it a feature you may want for the price)
3. Menus and user interface is not as kewl as the IPOD (One area where the IPOD beats the Sony MP3 Walkman!)
4. No motion sensors on so pictures dont change their alignment as you move tje unit from horizontal to vertical or vise-versa (A kewl IPOD feature)
In the end i think its really worth the buck! I would recommend it to any one.

Great sound, Comfortable Headphones
I just got my third of these(I broke one and lost the other), and I couldn't be happier with it. The player itself has a very easy interface and the controls are easy to use even through the mesh pocket on my backpack strap. The sound quality is tremendous, with clean full bass and enough range to pick up subtle sounds that my iPod and Creative didn't.
The biggest selling point for me, however, is the headphones. These are the most comfortable in-ear buds I've ever used. The sound quality (paired with the player) are surpsingly close to Bose buds and the addition of Noise Cancellation is icing on the cake. I don't have to worry about them falling out or losing their tight seal, and I'm yet to experience discomfort from wearing them over long periods of time. For <$200, this is the best bang for your buck.

not much of smart phone, but it's the quality mp3
I got this mp3 about two months ago. I decided to buy this gadget after i watched the CNN review of this mp3. They said it has one of the best sound quality ever. well, I heard it for two months and that came to be true. It has surprisingly good sound. The headphone coming along with the mp3 player has good quality of sound but if you invest more on the headphone, you can experience more depth and crispiness from this but still it has good sound quality.
it provides very strong and crispy base for those who always wanted to hear from Ipods.
dedicated volume adjust really helps when it is in the pocket.
if you want to see the video on this, there are certain formats you need to change which sony provides format converter with 'not free of charge'but I am sure you can find free software on the web.
Easy interface but it lacks in customization.
One sentence : "good sound quality mp3 player but not much of funcionalities"

Best sounding MP3 Player
Its the best Mp3 player in terms of sound quality and resolution for videos. The ear phones are much better than those bundled with other mp3 players. Noise cancelation is not perfect but still offers opportunity to listen to your music in relative peace (especially important since I am a mom of two). The video resolution is very good with a bright screen. I have managed to watch an entire movie on it.
DO NOT BUY A SONY
DO NOT BUY A SONY!
my mps lasted 7 months and if I want to repair it it was costing as buying a new one
it just stopped working suddenly and when I tried to take my music out of it, it turned off completely
I never had such a terrible experience, it was supposed to work 1 YEAR!!! the warranty is useless after 90 days instead!!!
the worst customer support ever!!and the product is just crap!
