Support For Failing Eyesight

(5 out of 5) by Patrick J. Gill on Dec 25, 2008 (Northville, MI)
This GE Big Button Speakerphone [[ASIN: B0013G3AAM]] is an answer for people who have failing eyesight as I do (macular degeneration). It makes the everyday chores of using a telephone considerably easier and much less stressful. Can be wall mounted or used on a desk top. Either way, dialed wrong numbers may become a thing of the past and now you'll be better able to see who's calling on the large LCD display. This isn't a cure for poor eyesight but life becomes much, much easier.

Love that phone

(5 out of 5) by Linda on Apr 2, 2009 (Chicago)
When I opened the box the picture and description of the phone was the same. The setup is so simple, sound is great on both ends - I can hear my caller and my caller can hear me. The keys are large for me to see and I'm very happy with my selection and other friends are planning on odering the same phone. The price was perfect.

Great/inexpensive phone

(5 out of 5) by J. provensal on Mar 31, 2009 (Los Angeles, CA)
I bought it for my mom who lives in France and who is unfortunately losing her eyesight b/c of macular degeneration.
She's telling me that she's very pleased with the phone and that she can again dial numbers thanks to the huge buttons.

Unusable

(1 out of 5) by Wilson Smith on Mar 1, 2009
This phone came with a cord that simply would not fit into the phone's too-small jack, and the phone had to be returned.

Also, the thing requires four penlight batteries, which seems sort of excessive.
